I guess I'm not the only one listening to the new podcast: "Point of Inquiry" from the Center for Inquiry.

http://www.pointofinquiry.org/

It would be nice to discuss here each week about the last issue of the show.

I just listened to it and its good. I wish they would focus on the paranormal more but the other subjects are interesting as well. I am new to this so I am game for discussing their episodes every week.

The new episode against Islam (Ibin Warraq) is a little biased, but to each his own. The episode said the next one is by a mindreader. How could skeptcs believe in mindreading!

Well, skeptics can believe in UFOs too, since the actual meaning of UFO is "unidentified flying object".

It all depends on how you define the term "mindreading" (i.e. what actions you would consider reading the mind).

But you're probably right.

I have the same feeling. I'm also more in the paranormal debate than in the secular humanism debate. But, well, the others subjects are interresting too and it's never too late to learn something...

Max Maven

It is explained as Max Maven is a magician (famous it seems) and makes some very interesting points about magic and the paranormal. He is not saying he is a psychic, my bad. And it was interesting to find out he taught Carl Sagan's son.

I found Max Maven really interresting and I went to buy his book on amazon juste after listening to the podcast.

I juste hope he'll be back sometimes in the futur on the show because for me it was just an introduction on the subject... I want more!
