I've been a fan of Penn & Teller for a while and I've always wanted to see them live and I finally got to do it.

The experience was just... more than what I expected. Everything was just perfect. The tricks, the interactions, the message. Teller's "Shadows" bit is just exquisite. I only wish I could have been closer to the stage but it was still worth it. I will definitely plan to see them again soon.

Have any of you seen them perform live? How was your experience?

I haven't - but just wanted to congratulate you on having had a neat experience.

I've seen them on stage twice. Once in Toronto and once Hamilton (Ont. Can.).

In Toronto I had the privilege of being called on stage to observe Teller do the Thread the Needles in Your Mouth Trick. Beats me how he did it but he did have a few pin pricks when I looked in his mouth. After looking, I turned to the audience and threw up my hands in a gesture of puzzlement. Got a good laugh from the audience and cut my allotted 15 minutes of fame down to 14 minutes and 30 seconds.

Definitely worth seeing in person.

I've seen them several times since the early 90's, they always deliver a great show. I just saw them again last week here in Orlando. They still hang around after the show for over an hour to sign autographs and take pictures with every single person who wants them. I don't know any other act that does that. I recommend seeing them at the Rio in Vegas if you ever get the chance. It's their home base and they do some effects there that they don't usually tour with.

I'm definitely going to try and see them in Vegas. I'm planning on going to TAM this year so I think I'll do both, if I can.

Keep an eye on the TAM/skeptical events subforum. Usually there are groups of TAMmers who get together to see the P&T show, which is fun. A couple of years ago they also offered a discount to TAM attendees.

ETA: I don't know how familiar you are with TAM, but P&T usually make an appearance or two if they're in town. Last year, Penn also did a couple of his podcasts from TAM.
