Literally, this time... German TV Station RTL has invited the infamous Uri "hand-bent cutlery" Geller to psychically influence a soccer match between what might rightly be considered the two worst teams in all of Germany (after all they were selected by RTL on this criterium).

There´ll be an "Uri Geller Show" on Sunday night - not that I intend to watch it - moderated by none other than the - locally - famous moderator Günter Jauch, whose regular job for RTL includes running the German version "Who wants to be a millionaire".

Uri Geller will give his best (whatever that might be) to support of red-lantern-bearing HFC Bürgel (14 defeats in 14 matches, 13 to 93 goals) in its efforts against superior opponent Germania Bürgel II (12 defeats, 1 draw, 1 success, 13 to 49 goals), who are both playing in the bottom-most league in German soccer. The presence of such a celebrity is expected to quadruple local fan turnout to about 100 per team.

Personally, I´m torn between being miffed at RTL for giving this fraud another chance for presenting his hoaxing to the public, and pity for how low Uri has had to sink to be able to get some spotlight... :D
 
I have to correct myself. The match does not take place on Saturday. It was yesterday already.

The team that Uri "supported" lost 1:7.

We´ve been using the Euro for almost three years now.

Though, come to think of it, I have kept roughly 12 DM of old money as a souvenir. Not that I´d send you any of it. :p It isn´t money any more, anyway.

Hmmm... well maybe not... Isn't this what is suppose to happen when Uri supports a team? :D His track record indicates something like that so...yeah....whatever...
