I just saw this project mentioned on the XMOS forum:

Here's why XMOS (a purveyor of very high performance micro-controllers) was involved:

I've got quite a lot of XMOS hardware. They are very useful devices, and XMOS is a very nice company to be involved with; I hope they get lots of sales, although I'm quite sure that it's a waste of time and money.

It appears to be related to a film called Paranormal Activity 2 that is just about to be released:

It's all complete rubbish, of course, but it should be entertaining.

I figured an EMF meter must detect static electricity, but no! Now why would a ghost be transmitting microwaves? And what is the purpose of a $30 meter to tell you your cell phone is working?

The ghosts aren't emitting microwaves that are, supposedly, detected by that instrument; it merely detects changes in the surrounding electrostatic field, and transmits the data and location via the mobile phone network.

I've always wondered about the physics of ghosts having electrostatic effects, not to mention causing changes in the ambient temperature. No one has ever explained how those effects are supposed to take place.

Can we harness them for energy? Like ghost batteries or something.
