I can't speak for anyone but myself, but I consider it to be low quality polemic.

After reading the first few articles in the link all I can say is that it would seem to reflect poorly on your taste in co-workers.
Diatribe. Thinly veiled with pretension. If Rush Limbaugh didn't have to hustle soap to the lowest common denominator he would probably sound very much like that.
There is excellent stuff there. Even if you aren't conservative.

I dare you to tell me that this sort of boots-on-the-ground reporting is thinly veiled diatribe.
I have little interest in digging through a barrel of rotten fruit on the off chance that there may be a good one buried somewhere in the mess.
(Your example wasn't one, BTW. It didn't add anything which anyone with a more than superficial grasp of Egypt's recent and current political history wouldn't already realize. It just took some gratuitous jabs at Islam, added a handful of photos of war memorials with the inference that those are something unusual, a few sly references to North Korea, and a plea for donations to the author.)
I like Michael Totten, Barry Rubin, Zombie and Victor Davis Hanson.
Victor Davis Hanson is well worth reading. (Especially if you are on the "other side of the fence" and honestly wish to try and understand the conservative viewpoint).
