I realize that this is from an earlier commentary (I'm currently catching up on five months worth of back commentaries), but I had to ask if I was seeing things.

In the June 6th article, Randi talks about Pat Robertson's new shake. I went to the link provided, (http://www.cbn.com/communitypublic/shake.aspx)and while I couldn't download the video to be certain, I have to say that the top picture provided looks nothing like Robertson to me. Granted, it's from an odd angle, and there'd be no real reason for him to use an actor (he can easily fake the feat on his own), but it looks really odd.

He's completely full of crap. The current record is 1,335 pounds, set by a Florida State football player.

There are plenty of write-ups about how full of crap Pat Robertson is about this claim. My question to Pat would be, is it Jesus or is it the shake that allows you to (not) leg press 2000 lbs?

Since this claim came out, the language on the site has changed. It used to say, "Pat Robertson presses ...", and now says "Pat Robertson pressed...". The difference is, we can no longer ask Pat to press 2k lbs while we watch. He doesn't claim (anymore) that he can still do it, just that he did it in the past. We would have to prove that he never did it in the past, which we can't do. All we can do is point out that this would be very, very improbable, and improbability is no obstacle for his religious believers.
