"A whopping 60% now disapprove of his job, up from 51% disapproval Sept. 20. Obama now trails in hypothetical 2012 matchups against Republicans Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and the next Bush, Jeb.
And, oh, my! Lookee here! Obama has even fallen into a statistical tie with none other than Sarah Palin, the former Alaska governor.
How embarrassing that is because other polls have shown a majority of Americans believe she is unqualified for the presidency. So it appears many have now decided, on second thought after a nearly two-year test drive, Obama looks that way too."

BUSH 2012
:boxedin:

Not acording to CNN.
In a possible general election showdown, Obama leads Palin 52-44 percent among all registered voters.

But Palin trails other potential GOP candidates by a fairly wide margin. Not surprising with everybody from Karl Rove to Barbara Bush to Megan McCain criticizing her. Some GOP-ers have accused her of blowing their chance to take the Senate.

Obama may lose the presidency in 2012, but I can guarantee you it won't be to Sarah Palin.

Three years ago a number of people were similarly sure Obama would never be elected.

Who would have ever guessed how good two years of his presidency might make a folksy non-intellectual look.

Ms Moosemeat still looks like a blithering idiot.

It is true that the American voter has an incredibly short memory. But a few reminders of how Palin terminated her last government job might stir some of those memories. Plus, half the Repubs hate her and are afraid she will destroy the party.

I once said she would be a footnote to history. I was wrong about that. But she will never be a policy maker or a significant politician. She will be a "talking head" and a media celebrity with some degree of power, but never in the actual business of government. And frankly, I'm pretty sure that's what she wants, because she doesn't want to do any real work. She wants to be the worlds biggest (and richest) media whore. And at that, she's doing a damn fine job.

In 1994, everyone would have said Clinton was a dead certainty to lose in 1996. In 1990, everyone would have said GHW Bush was a certainty to win in 1992. Polls taken with an election nearly two years away are completely ridiculous.

All they have to do is run the stupid confused interview with Katie Couric over and over again. That's all.

The Republicans need a charismatic to come in, but not her. If they let the next good old boy in line from the Senate come in, forget it.

Almost all presidents are former governors or VPs. I'm not even sure if Senator outweighs former military hero.

Obama - Senator
Bush, Jr. - Governor
Clinton - Governor
Bush, Sr. - VP
Reagan - Governor
Carter - Governor
Ford - VP
Nixon - VP
LBJ - VP
Kennedy - Senator
Ike - War hero
Truman - VP
FDR - Governor
Hoover - Secretary of Commerce
Coolidge - VP
Harding - Senator
Taft - Secretary of War
Wilson - Governor
Teddy - VP, War hero

Ok, prior to Obama, war hero was tied with senator since "The Modern Presidency" began with Theodore Roosevelt...

DAMMIT! After over 2 years of relentless, obsessive Palin-smearing.

It's almost as if the Palin smearing is backfiring. I'll bet Obama is wishing his faithful far left supporters would stop "helping" him so much.

Palin, for her part, is no doubt plotting to make herself even more annoying to the lefties, the better to encourage ever more vicious leftist attacks.

Palin: Yeah. I can beat Obama, at basketball AND politics. Plus, I can outrun and out-shoot him. I can do anything better than him. And that's why he's sooo afraid!

LOL. The lefties seem mostly amused by her (with a few exceptions.) The ones who are trashing her are the Republicans, as I mentioned in my first post in this thread. Palin is much more dangerous to them than she is to the Dems. A whole bunch of lefties would absolutely love to see Sarah get the nomination, because it would nearly gift-wrap a Democratic victory. And the moderates on the Right know it. That's why they're trashing her.

Agreed the Couric interview will always be a problem.

I suspect Obama has more than a few himself waiting for prime-time. But keep counting her out and hoping for a RINO.

You realize how hollow the RINO thing is when most of the elected Republicans and I suspect a large segment of the Republican population that elected them would fit that description.

Might I suggest a term for those that view them as RINO's....DINO's

Shhh. Stop saying these things. They'll hear you.

<clears throat>

He's right! Whatever you do, avoid Palin as the GOP nominee! I'm so scared of her because she'll likely win. Please don't nominate her instead of someone normal...er...RINO-esque!

Of course Obama's gonna lose. His policies are responsible for recession in '08. Fool Americans once, shame, shame on you. Fool Americans three times, elect a Bush.

Obama will win again, voters do not want to admit to themselves they were wrong when they voted for the grotesque conman Soetoro. Unfortunately Palin is even worse than Soetoro, she is a great mannequin but she does not really have anything to contribute politically...

I think a big reason behind Palin's success is the smear campaign by the media, it has backfired just like the love campaign the media ran for Soetoro.

Soetoro ....Soetoro ..... Soetoro.

I think I just found Palin's campaign slogan!

Then she can promise to end fiat money, bring the true perpetrators of 9/11 to justice, and declare war on the reptilians in our midst.
