Novus Lightbulb moment question

Hi,

I don't know about the rest of you, but, it is getting tiring and REALLY frustrating trying to figure out who we all are.

Singularily, we can't achieve a whole lot, other than bringing info to RSL, but as a UNITED group, we can come together and right a really egerious wrong.

From the postings here, it appears that we all have the same goal, and perhaps it is time to work together. I don't know how to effect this, actually, since YOU or I could be ....well, I don't even want to go there, but what do you think?

Ps: I don't look like a grandmother, nor do I have long talons, sleep with the bosses kid (Yuck!) etc.
 
I am hoping all you new folks formerly of NS can make it to TAM next year. It would be great meeting and speaking with you.
 
I do find it incredible...all of this!!

If anyone told us all 10 years ago that things would go down like this, we all would have had a spiritual civil war on the boards!
Actually...there were a few over that very thing, weren't there! :rolleyes:
I was at the center of one or two as I never stayed within the lines and pleaded people to learn the concepts so that they'd never need a psychic or a priest again!

I was always skeptical..
But...all of this coming out about Sylvia & Novus? Who knew!! :eye-poppi

But even more profound...did any of you who have joined JREF for the "mission" ever imagine that this sort of thing would bring us all together?

You are right, we need to band together for what is right, and the more of us that do, the more will come out of the woodwork.

This message is directed to NS members who are here, so that we can come together and help to stop you know who!

Since we know that the office reads this forum, probably hourly, we obviously can't reveal ourselves inside the forum.

Truth be told, we are all warriors of truth, and seeking truth, and all past browne fans, are most definitely angry believers, not to leave out politics....but, hell, I certainly don't know how to incorporate Great Beast into this sentence. Sorry, Great Beast, you lucked out.

And those are only the NS people who are posting. To all those who are Lurking:

Your light is showing, so olly, olly oxen free! Come out, come out, wherever you are!

Have been thinking about this issue for a few months, and even spoke with some others today about this.

As of now, there is no forum where we can all get together openly, but I really do believe the we need to know who one another is, be able to connect ourselves, and our information.

Since I've already put my *&$% on the line by posting here, I will gladly work on this, and if anyone wants to reveal themselves and connect with others then I would suggest contacting myself or RSL, and letting one of us know who you are, that you want to connect with others that want to connect, and then I'll probably do some sort of verification.

Will continue working on a secure place that we can all get together.

I think (and he can correct me if I misread) that he is warning you against the "deconverted syndrome". Sometime when a person becomes disenchanted with a group or philosophy of which they were previously a part - especially one in which they invested of themselves heavily- there is a natural tendency to see the former group as an "enemy" that needs to be fought. This is usually a mistake.

Also, please remember that the JREF is not an "Anti-Sylvia" group as such, nor is its purpose to search for "truth", let alone to defend a specific "truth".

Hi,

I am aware of what you are speaking of, and truthfully have no desire to 'deconvert' anyone. Just as i, and probably everyone else who has discovered her betrayals, it was from personal experience.

I daresay, that any of us would have ever entertained that behind the illusion was this ugly picture before we learned by experience.

Some things have to be experienced to learn, ain't it a b**ch?

I don't think of the former group as an enemy. For the most part, I have met some truly awesome people. It is the hierarchy that I am totally fed up with.

Hope that clarifies things.


To Ground Beast: Interesting for someone who has so much info, that they can just sit around munching popcorn. Shame on you.
 
Hmm...what I meant was (and I apologize if it was too cryptic) that even although we are grateful to have all you X-NS here, if you hold any remaining beliefs about Sylvia's 'intuition' or psychic abilities, you better be prepared for some hard questions if you post them. If any of you don't want your belief system tested, especially regarding phrases involving "your light is shining" (unless it's a light of the electrical kind) then you best tread carefully.
 
Angrybeliever, TruthBeTold, PastBrowneFan (et all) - Challenging ones belief system is tough; it takes a lot of guts to come here (for example) and listen with a objective mindset. Nicely done.

Hello everyone;

I'm Ian and I'm a recovering Novus adherent. :blush:

I was a principal of the Canadian Church of Novus Spiritus.

While this is my debut post I have in fact been lurking here for a couple of months. During that time I have discovered much about various topics, lots of it unrelated to Novus. I wish to say thank you to the members of the JREF for you have helped me in several ways. I must say that I am especially impressed by RSL. In fact.....he'd make one heck of a charismatic leader!:eek:

I do not know who amongst my former colleagues are members of the JREF nor do I expect anyone else to come forward and reveal their identity. I just wanted to let you know that I am here, lurking around, learning a lot, and living my life as an agnostic ex-gnostic. I am not likely to post very often but I will continue to peruse the forum - there's just so much good stuff here!

So to all you ex-Novus (ExNo?) folks I wish you much success in moving on with your lives. Please consider checking out the rest of the JREF (if you haven't already done so) as it is very illuminating and wonderfully entertaining!

I, for one, am very interested in all that this forum has to offer but am somewhat at a disadvantage to respond to some of it as I'm not as well read on the subjects as others.

And I am very gracious at how we have been welcomed.

I can't speak for everyone but as far as I'm concerned, the philosophy is mute here as that is not why we are here.
We aren't here to push our philosophy and other than me commenting on the thirty year old thing in heaven and someone asking us if we thought Sylvia was psychic do I recall our philosophy coming up too much on our part...I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm wrong and I will, once again, sit corrected. ;)
I understand athiesm, agnosticism and all that. It's what makes people interesting!! Everyone has the right to believe what they want to and that has nothing with why we are here.

I believe that when we all see a person such as Sylvia Browne and her Novus Corporation taking people for their money (lots of money although they gave in willingly to the scam) and giving such damaging information to people who believe (and would believe with or without SB) or who are so desperate for answers that they will swallow anything at the time, that it is the right thing to do. Expose it and end it once and for all.

Not because they are our enemies but because it's the right thing to do.

You don't have to be religious or even believe in a God to do the right thing for your fellow human beings. If you see a man about to get hit by a car, it doesn't matter what your beliefs are...you do your best to get him out of the way of the car, right? (unless he just stole your wallet in which case, let the car hit him so you can get your wallet back)
And, if I'm not mistaken, we are all aiming for that, aren't we?

You could be saving a relative or a friend or a future girlfriend or boyfriend...you never know!

Having been one who was taken by Novus (not monetarily but by time, which is valuable to me) I think that I know how the others who have "invaded" (jk ;) ) your forum feel and can say that our only desire is to see if we can help Robert and anyone else interesting in bringing down a charlatan who is scamming people out of their money and breaking their hearts with damaging misinformation.

**In this thread I think that we are trying to find a way amongst ourselves in a place that we feel somewhat safe, to unite ourselves. We know that there are people who will try to figure out who we are and have the Board call us at home and harrass us and I don't know...I kind of feel safe in here.
You guys are awesome at sniffing out a troll and I learn alot! :D

I'll stop rambling...by now it all probably sounds like blah blah blah but that's just how I feel.

I'm glad I met you all, I'm glad I came forward and I'll be glad to be here long after this chapter is through.

And welcome Ian. You're a brave man but then again, what are the rest of us really afraid of??
