Nothing's changed Houdini!

Excellent find!

I was humungously distressed last year to read an advertising feature which purported to demonstrate that Houdini was a spirit talking from beyond the grave. It was a promotion for the Living TV (ironic name!) programme Most Haunted starring the ubiquitous Derek Acorah.

Sometimes I don't know how these people sleep at nights.

They have the ghosts sing them lullabies, obviously.

Or maybe his "spirit bunnies" sing him to sleep. Remember that ridiculous notion? Even Ciaran O'Keefe said that episode was the first time he'd ever heard of spirit bunnies and he hoped that it would be the last. :D

(music over) When you are guilty and you can't sleep Just count your money instead of sheep and you'll fall a sleep counting your mo ney!(end music):D :jaw-dropp :D

If this offer has been around since Houdini,s time, and all of the woo hoo paranormal nonsense is real. Why has none of them come forward??

Simple, they're interested in truthiness, not money. To quote a spoonbender in the current Commentary,
Thanks for your generous offer, Mr Randi, but I must respectfully decline your prize. Your idea would not actually serve as any such "SHORTCUT" for me because my journey is to empower the world with truth, not 'make a million dollars'.

The pedant asks:
Was there supposed to be a comma in the title of this thread? Otherwise, I agree; he's not changed much in the last few decades.

You beat me too it, Rat. Having been dead for quite some time now, I'd imagine he was done decomposing already.

Yes, but you could have left the exclamation mark :)

This reminds me of the bit in the Life Of Brian when he is caught writing graffiti on the wall by the Romans. It is supposed to say (in Latin) "Romans, go home!" (as a command), but actually says "Romans go home" (as a statement). In Latin, one at least has the vocative case to make this sort of thing clearer; in English, we must make do with a comma.

Exactly. Azrael, you must now re-write the thread title 1000 times correctly. I expect this to be done by sunrise-and no using the cut and paste commands, either!

I don't know (yeah, I konw you guys spotted the punctuation problem already but this picture's too creepy to pass up on), he didn't used to have bare-chested goth pseudo magician's lounging on him in the past, from what I've read.

Yes, that's Criss Angel pretending to be reverential at Houdini's tombstone.

It looks more like C. A. trying to channel Theda Bara.
