Nostradamus has tipped Spain to win the World Cup.

Spanish daily 20 Minutos believes a prophecy from the medieval Frenchman will come true if Luis Aragones leads Spain to World Cup glory.

The prophecy reads: "In the sixth month of 2006 the King of Spain will cross the Pyrenees with his troops.

"The legions of Beelzebub will battle him in central Europe but the evil ones will suffer doom and destruction.

"The Holy Grail will then come, like the King, to Spain."

Obviously, Ashley Giles is going to be recalled to the England squad for the ODI at Old Trafford, and will retain his place through the winter tour. The "holy grail" is obviously a reference to The Ashes, and "central Europe" is Australia (well, it sounds a bit like "Austria"). As for "the legions of Beelzebub", that's pretty obvious...
