Why are CTers convinced that these two secretly believe there is a giant conspiracy, but can't go public for fear of their own careers. What is the fasciniation with these two...

It's like, they feel a kindred spirit to these two men, both of whom detest them and their methods, and, for the most part, consider them crazy. They don't believe it when these two say "you're crazy", they go on saying "they have to say that", and keep on considering them both "on their side". I think this belief that secretly people agree with them, helps them feel legitimate.

See this thread (post 13) for an interesting exchange of e-mails between a denier and Chomsky, the nutter trying to get Chomsky on their side. And fails miserably :)

Here's a thread where they talk about Olbermann: http://s15.invisionfree.com/Loose_Change_Forum/index.php?showtopic=16111

He is _SO_ close to coming out and legitimizing them.. they are so excited!

And another thread on chomsky:
http://www.nineeleven.co.uk/board/viewtopic.php?t=4716

My favorite part is where they combine irrational paranoia, and hero-worship, and conclude that because he is so smart, and 9/11 conspiracy is so obvious, the only logical conclusions is that Chomsky is part of the NWO.

They seem to think the same about Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert too. I think it's just that anyone they see on tv with a decent show MUST be on their side.

And they keep e-mailing them links to LC and other sites, because they KNOW they would be interested. Also they believe that if enough people e-mail them about it, they will mention them on their shows. They forget, however, that most of the people they want to legitimize them live in NYC, and probably saw some of what happened and/or knew someone who died in the tragedy.

I think the Chomsky question is obvious.

Obermann - It is likely his comments about the co-incidental "Terrorist" warnings that come out when someone is in trouble at the polls.

As for Stuart et al, they are not likely even close to CTists, but they are Bush Bashers, so the CTists think automatically that they believe in the TWOOF.

But, if we e-mail them enough that might change their mind, right?

Heh. That reminds me of an argument I got into with a couple of 9-11 deniers in a bar. It was about a year after the attacks, 2002 or so.

At one point in the argument, this lady demanded, "Well, have you ever heard of Norm Chompsky??!?"
I replied, yes, I had heard of Noam Chomsky, and he didn't believe in her BS either. She went ballistic! Refused to believe me.

All those they think are about to come out about 9/11 conspirarcies are pretty public about how much they dislike bush. They think if you dislike bush you MUST believe the conspirarcy theories.

I'm surprised Colbert is on the list. I didn't think they were sharp enough to see through the character he plays.

What's funny as shee-ite, is they think he is on their side. He just leaves clues on the show, for them to follow, like a drunken scavenger hunt. He has to dance around the NWO masters. FLMAO!!!
How do you breed this kind of undue self-importance, out-side of inbreeding?

Oh man, does anyone have a link to them playing scavenger hunt with Colbert? That would make my day to read.

Is that an official site? That just completely crushed me. The website that Colbert plugs every night on his show, contains a message board with vibrant conspiracy theories and insane ramblings of large groups of people feeding off each other's ignorance?

That was like my favorite show....

Like I said drunken scavengers! It is what it is. Stevo does not seem to be involved. Why would he be, he has a brain...right? Don't watch his shewwe myself.

The site I linked, is a goldmine of unintentional comedy. Only reason I paruse.

There are a couple of sane people there. Markyx does what he can. I noticed Killtown is there as well, with essentially the same polls that he puts up here. I'm convinced he's only involved with the 9/11 deniers because he likes the attention.1

Profanity is not only allowed on the Colboard, but it seems to be encouraged. I might sign up just so I can practice foul language on a 9/11 denier.

Yes, the "Noam Chomsky Show" just cracks me up...

(Sorry, couldn't resist)
