Likely cgi given that no one else saw it, but it's good cgi if that's the case.

The new story is from http://movementtelevision.blip.tv/#660295

Driver Camdon Neville, an Orlando acoustic folk artist who goes by the stage name Clowd Nyne, was the first to notice the UFO in the early evening sky. Show producer and host Clifford Jeudy, who goes by the stage name Rebel Black, quickly grabbed the camera and began to tape for more than three minutes.

The video recorded shows an orange glow in the sky over Hillsborough County. At times, the streaking orange glow appears to be two separate 'fire balls.' The video was recorded on a mini-DV tape using a handheld Sony HD camera.

Chist. Why is it always the same. If you're going to shoot a damn UFO, for Christ sake, hold the camera steady. Rest the camera on something if you have to or at least stand still and hold it with two hands. Damnit!

Anyway it looks like something burning up. Maybe a flare or something. I could tell a lot better if the camera had been held more steady.

Normally, I would call this a fireball or a satellite reentry. However, it moves around in loops. Having to see a whole bunch of rapper ads in front of the video makes me think it is a publicity stunt. Somebody made a clever hoax (not the first and not the last). The online report could easily have been filed by anyone involved with the hoax.
Something this obvious would not be missed by anyone outside. Florida is nice and temperature that evening was about 50 degrees. I find it difficult to believe that only ONE witness was outside and reported it. Think of all the Stephenville residents reporting UFOs earlier that month. This is a highly populated area and not some town out in the desert. There was not one mention of it in the local media like "what was that last night in the sky"? I have lots of astronomy friends who live in the Tampa area and none reported such an event. This has all the indications of a hoax IMHO.

I looked at this thing frame by frame. What's interesting to notice is while the posted video itself is NTSC (29.98 frames per second), but the actual footage of the "UFO" was 24 frames per second. Every fourth frame is shown twice. This is what happens when you convert theater movies (24 fps) or PAL footage (25 fps) to NTSC.

This doesn't mean much in itself, but a video camera with 24 or 25 frames per second in the U.S. seems highly unusual. (Some cameras offer a "fake" cinema setting, but that's not true 24 fps).

You might be right, it looks the same. I'm stabilizing the "UFO" video frame by frame at the moment, will upload it when finished. Hint: It looks not very spectacular and "UFO"-like once you remove the super jerky camera movements.

It would be a pity if alien aircrafts were proven to exist by the evidence of the most irritating UFO video ever.

"Beyond a shadow of a doubt, UFO's are real"

Has anyone ever said otherwise?

My editing is done and uploaded to YouTube:

Olowkow, I took the liberty to add a few seconds of the footage you linked to, because I thought it is really very similar to that alleged "UFO" video.

Removing the very jerky camera movements of the original footage frame by frame is rather tedious work, but I think it is worth it to get a better look at what was actually captured that day.

I'm Orlando and we get Tampa stuff all the time. Did not notice anything/report here either.

Warheit: Good job on the video. Thanks for losing the music.

Next UFO please?

Killing the audio of the original footage was the first thing I did. :)

I'm surprised though that the pro-UFO folks at YouTube have not started spamming the comments to the video, yet.

I dont think its an alien craft and it doesent look like like a jet to me only becouse it looks to be branching off into two strange indeed .
Maybe just a meteorite bracking up entering the atmosphere Ive seen them in the daytime before and they looked like a ball of fire with a tail just like this .
And of course being close to the space center it could have been nasa launching a satalite rocket .

It's probably this guy performing at this airshow. His schedule shows both a night and day performance. Though, it looks more like a glider to me.

It seems you guys were spot on with the airshow thing.

From wftv.com:
A video showing a purported UFO over Tampa Bay on January 20, 2008 has been indentified. The unusual, dueling fireballs rocketing and curling through the air that early evening were part of an air show during Tampa's annual Gasparilla Pirate Festival.

I guess I stand corrected on the hoax idea. Just another misinterpretation of an ordinary event. Good job for those pursuing this one to the end. Another one bites the dust!
