Hello Skeptics!

I just published my skeptical take on the famous Lockheed UFO case from 1953 and thought you folks might be interested.

Well done Lance.

I see reading the comments that already people are either not reading your article properly or simply not understanding how fair you've been in your assessment.

Thanks!

I'm having a good time with it. I think I'm most proud that I got almost everything about the case into one location, even if my theory is wrong.

Well the important thing you took the facts and tried to find a theory that explained the most elements of the case

Those before you started with their theory, then picked over the available facts to only include what fit with their predisposed idea

Nice theory, but I don't think all the pieces fit together...

Obviously, there was another lenticular cloud by the grassy knoll.

Time-lapse animations apart, can such lenticular clouds dissipate in around 90 seconds? it seems rather quick.

Hi,

I did include a letter from a guy who shoots lenticulars as part of his business (and included examples of some of his excellent work). He assures me that sometimes they do disappear in a minute (I included this quote in the article).

I would more than appreciate any help replying to the believers comments at the site.

Best,

Lance

Phil Klass and the original members of his CSICOP UFO Subcommittee (of which I was one) would certainly have wanted to shake your hand. Well done analysis. That's what being skeptical is all about.

OK, cool - I must've skipped past that bit. Looks to me like you've got a fully plausible explanation. Excellent work :)

Thank you...this was one of the points that was bugging me for a long time about the idea.

Many thanks to everyone above! I knew Phil Klass slightly from phone conversations and always enjoyed his work.

For some reason I can't seem to get a link on Doubtful news :(
