Is there a way to get Netflix instant movies on your IPod touch? I already went to Netflix on the browser and clicked play instantly and it said i couldn't so i was wondering if theres a app or something I could do to play movies on my IPod Touch?

No. Netflix requires Silverlight and Microsoft-DRM technology, and Microsoft is NO WAY ever going to put that on an iPod.

Netflix is on OSX, correct? And I know it's coming on the PS3 soon. What's the difference? Even if Netflix currently requires Microsoft software that they for some reason allow on Macs and PS3s but would never allow on iPods/iPhones, there is really no reason why Netflix couldn't use some other method to stream to iPods.

I think Lisa is right. Apple would never allow a Netflix app into their app store. They would much rather you rent a movie from them.

So let's hope that MoonLight gets to a point of usability. Netflix on my android phone would be cool...

ETA: MS doesn't care who runs their tech, as long as those folks pay them big cash. They'd be happy for an alternative on the iPhone. Jobs would not be happy with direct competition to the iTunes store.

I would have thought it was more likely that Apple would not open their platform out to such a potential rival?
