Stefan Jagsch is a prominent politician in the German Neo-Nazi party NPD. He is chairman in the state Hesse, vice-chair in the county Wetterau and chair in his town Altenstadt, where the party scored 10% on 6 March with an anti-refugee campaign.
On 16 March, Jagsch crashed his car into a tree and got heavily injured. The first to arrive at the accident scene were two vans that passed by, with Syrian refugees. They stopped, dragged him out of the car and administered first-aid until the ambulance arrived.
A spokesperson for the NPD has praised his rescuers for this humane act.
