My Hero

She is incredibly annoying. I mean, one of the most annoying people on the planet. In a way it's both good and bad that she's the one who said it.

First, I actually like her as a comedian/actress most of the time. Second, many people share your sentiment about her, and it's quite likely that very dislike is what makes her well known.

If you watch the clip, you find her critized for her statement; simply because she refused to thank god and mentioned it. If she had thanked the Flying Spaghetti Monster, or the toaster bunny, no one would have tried to censor her statement. I would love to see more "big names" come out with beliefs, or lack thereof, it would certainly lay down a stepping stone.

Santa

I can't watch the video now and I don't know anything about Kathy Griffin's personal beliefs so this isn't a comment on her specifically but I've noticed that a lot of famous people reject the notion of God in a conventional religious sense but they end up embracing other woo instead. I think it's a testament to how people universally like to embrace woo and conventional people are more likely embrace conventional woo whereas unconventional people (which the famous often are or become as a result of their fame) are more likely to embrace unconventional woo.

Jesus, I hate that guy from the Catholic League. I wish he and Abe Foxman would suffer simultaneous heart attacks while arguing with one another on "Hannity and Combs."

I do not see exactly what you're talking about here. I think she was criticized for saying "Suck it, Jesus," among other things. If she got up and never mentioned God, then nobody would have said anything. You're more likely to get criticized for forgetting to thank your wife/husband/inspiration for the role.

Welcome to California.

Are people not allowed to laugh at something they find funny? Is that what this guy was getting at? He seems more upset that there wasn't an outrage of violence directed at her then at her actual comments. People are entitled to react however they like. I'm sure some people are angry, but if some found it funny and laughed that is there right to do so.

I liked the one tool did a long time ago better. but yeah it was a good joke on her part.

Yeah, like Griffin did 1/1,000,000th the damage the priest pedophilia scandals have had.

Man, that guy from the Catholic League could play Archie Bunker, if they brought that show back.
