My flag

When you see this on the back of my car, whether a newly polished SUV or a pile of rust driving down the street, you know that I am a patriotic conservative American.

Lots of dumb liberals have American flags on their bumpers. The difference is they all have liberal bumper stickers right next to them-- in order to avoid confusion that they could actually love this country without any strings attached. "I love America--- BUT IT'S OK, I love Howard Dean too!"

A solitary American flag is virtually a campaign ad for Bush. No "BUSH/CHENEY" sticker is needed to go along with it, as that would be redundant.

Sometimes a liberal driver will display the flag with a long-winded bumber sticker, one of those that's too small to read while you're driving. But when you get up close and start reading it, you start laughing your ass off at some dumb, bitter line like "If only we had less bombs and more books, yadda yadda...."

The point is you will never see a liberal with the flag alone on his or her car. Not unless it's upside-down, or covered with a hemp plant, or a peace symbol, or some left-wing political statement. The flag for the flag's sake with no other message is simply offensive to them.

No wonder why that is..... because it's MINE.

First of all, this is a lie. I know plenty of people who are liberals and who don't qualify their flags -- then again, I live in a liberal area where liberals don't expect every moron to think that US flag = conservative. My car has a flag on the rear window, with nothing qualifying it (the 'evolve' fish on the trunk doesn't count).

The reason liberals often have to exlicitly say that they are liberal is because slime like you stole our flag -- just as you stole our Pledge, by sticking the 'under god' into it, even though the pledge's author, a socialist protestant minister, didn't. By screaming that disagreeing with the government is unpatriotic, you stole the idea of patriotism from the americans who recognize that constructive dissent is the quinessential, defining american quality. You usurped the concepts and symbols of patriotism for the conservatives, whose relationship to the american spirit of freedom is akin to that between the fog and the morning sun.

The point is you will never see a liberal with the flag alone on his or her car.

Wrong already -- mine is just that, a lone american flag sticker on the back window.
