Moyers PBS Special on Jack Abramoff

Anyone catch this last night on PBS?

I use to enjoy when 60 Minutes would do a expose segment on some sleazy scumbag. At least it only lasted for about 15 minutes or so. Last night, the Moyers thing ran at least 90 minutes (maybe longer, I quit watching).

Somehow the non-stop garbage and slime, that is also known as Jack Abramoff and his cohorts, just kept coming and coming. I was pretty tired of it after about an hour.

Am I just getting inured to all this bad stuff surrounding the GOP and the current administration? How can anyone justify what has gone on?

Don't forget to remind me that the Democrats "have no ideas or plans".

Any time I see Jack's name, my brain reads it as Jack (Abram) off. Small wonder you got tired after an hour of them coming and coming. And on Prime Time! Where are the FCC decency police when you need them?

I don't understand why evry time his name shows up on the news, it's preceded by his official job title, "Disgraced Former Lobbyist." But you never hear them refer to the congressmen he bribed as "disgraced congressmen.

Whyzzat? I mean, after all, he was just doing what all lobbyists do - bribing congressmen.

In the House elections, a key race will take place in the 22nd district, where the Republicans were denied the option to replace disgraced former incumbent Tom DeLay on the ballot when he dropped out of the race late and are now having to field a write-in candidate. In the 23rd district, a last-minute re-drawing of the boundaries has increased the number of Hispanic voters, thus giving Democrat Ciro Rodriguez a better chance of unseating the Republican incumbent.

What it the point in caning you as punishment if you clearly will enjoy it?

It is one thing to accept punishment as deserved, quite another to enjoy it, or quiver in anticipation whilst awaiting the board's stinging impact with the behind. (The reference is to a scene in Animal House.)
My offering was an example of the former, not the latter.

I didn't watch the Moyers special, so I'm curious. Did Harry Reid and other dems also get pilloried by Moyers?
