Didn't quite know where to put this but since it is related to current events, politics etc. I'll put it here.

Recently my mother cancelled the newspaper subscribtion. I was annoyed but after a while I realized it was quite a logical thing to do. The newspaper cost over 300 euro's a year and I didn't read it every day. I get all the daily news from the internet nowadays anyway.

So instead I was browsing through the bookstore looking for a weekly newsmagazine to complement the news I get from the internet for a bit more background information etc.

Quite a few choices.
for example:
-newsweek
-time
-the new yorker

What do you recommend? It doesn't have to be from this list. If you have any other recommedations, I'll be happy to hear.

p.s. I already read the economist.

Time and Newsweek are ass-wipe. Worthless.

The New Yorker isn't really what I'd call a news magazine. It does provide a good bit of investigative journalism, especially from Seymour Hirsch. It's more of a general cultural/news/lit magazine.

The Economist is a good news magazine.
