More crow cleverness.

Crows are fun. I've had hours of free amusement watching them.
I saw one a while back outside a McDonalds, standing on the bonnet of a car, beak against the windscreen, giving the guys inside the hard stare as they ate lunch.

Haha! Great stuff. They are certainly full of character. Though could he/she have been looking at its own reflection? Either way a sign of intelligence.

To me, that video of the crow actually creating a tool is even more stunning than the two traps. To be able to work out that you need a hook to retrieve something with a loop on it? Hell, first thing in the morning, I probably couldn't manage that myself!

And thanks for the book tip Hokulele! Definite xmas present there...

Crows had a bounty on them some time back in QLD. We had a pair pinching chook eggs and one died. Left it in the paddock and to my surprise 5 or 6 weeks later I see one crow fly down and retrieve a feather. Never seen them do that before. They tend to follow the highways for road kill and a friend says they are reincarnated traffic cops.??
