In viewing the following questions through the lens of Passions of Christ and that of a skeptic,

1. what is the difference between what is right and what is good

and

2. why does the Lord permit evil?

2. why does the Lord permit evil?

Because the Lord is a fictional being who doesn't really exist? OK, that's a glib answer but Christian theologians have no shortage of better ones for believers : I think it all boils down to the free will thing.

I have no idea at all about the difference between right and good, without the terms being better defined since I think different people use them in very different ways.
