Max will be featured on television in Japan and England during the coming month. If you reside in either country, check your local listings.

"Max Maven Thinking In Person" finished a successful run at the Steve Allen Theater in Hollywood, culminating in sold-out houses with several standing ovations along the way. The theater has asked for another run, starting in mid-April. Details will be forthcoming. Meanwhile, look for reviews in Magic and Genii magazines.

In January, Max will be lecturing twice in the Chicago area. He'll be at Midwest Magic on Friday evening, January 7; call (847) 455-4288 for info and reservations. The following afternoon, Saturday, January 8, he'll do a completely different lecture for Magic Inc.; call (773) 334-2855 for info and reservations.

From there, it's off to Helsinki, to perform in the Finnish Magic Circle gala that will run from January 11 to 15 at the Savoy Theater. Max will also do a lecture that weekend. For information, go to www.taikurishow.fi/

More long-distance travel coming up, as Max will perform and lecture at the British Magical Society centenary convention in Birmingham, England on Saturday, February 5. Details can be found at www.Britishmagicalsociety.co.uk

If you want to catch up with Max Maven in print, there are several books in various stages of production (ads for Prism will hit soon), plus he has a lengthy essay in the current issue of the Canadian literary magazine Brick. An excerpt is posted on their website, www.brickmag.org

Max was recently a consultant to an interesting new book, The Underdog Advantage: Using the Power of Insurgent Strategy to Put Your Business on Top, by David Morey and Scott Miller, published by McGraw-Hill, in bookstores now.

"Magic: The Science of Illusion" continues to cross-cross the country. Max was an advisor on this project, in which he is featured in several formats (including a faux-holographic interactive mindreading game). The exhibit wraps up its Ontario installation on January 4, and will move to the Science Center at Union Station in Kansas City, MO from February 12 to May 1. Information will be available at www.sciencecenter.com

Don't forget to check out the latest feature on the www.MaxMaven.com website: Go to the "Interactive Mystery Zone" link, then click on "Gestalt Maven" to view an amazing work by New York graphic artist Joe Silkie.
