Marines Urinating on Dead Guys?

I sometimes wonder if they ever bother to have large team meetings where the military leaders explain with puppets, crayons, and coloring books how disgraceful this kind of behavior is, how it puts others on their teams in danger, how it generally makes the military forces look like undisciplined thugs.

Because, the smarts to not do this are learned in what, first grade? Even if they felt somehow justified in doing this, don't children learn to have some little voice in their head that says something like "maybe peeing on bodies so we can see ourselves posted on youtube is not such a smart idea".

If true (and I'm inclined to think that it is based upon what I've seen) I hope that they throw the book at their dumb asses and max out their sentences.

There is absolutely no excuse for this type of behavior by anyone no matter what side of a conflict you are on. I was P.O.'d when the bodies of our people were shown disrespect by the Iraqis and I'm equally P.O.'d to see any of our guys doing it.

Seems like the typical behavior you see in movies from marines.

I predict that will have been at least some of the incentive. Rule of thumb, if you find yourself making any kind of decision based on what you've seen on movies or TV - STOP!

I can't say which is dumber, doing something like this or filming yourself doing it.

Actually they practically do just that. Long, boring powerpoint presentations on how not to be a *******. Problem is the morons who would do this sort of stuff aren't listening.

Well, for one, was this any more cruel than killing them in the first place?

not an interesting or difficult question. No, not as cruel as killing them. In fact, I know someone who gets pissed on for fun. but that's not the point.

Well of course that makes it perfectly acceptable.

What else have you been told? Santa is real?

I have been told Santa is real. I don't believe it anymore.

Anyway, it seems you are more concerned about them urinating on these people then them being blown away in the first place.

Personally, I would prefer the urination to the being blown away.

By the way, that female anchor is terrible. "We know what they did at Abu Graibh was inappropriate! Defecating on bodies is inappropriate!"
