Its kind of crazy that after the decade he had, Bill Kristol still fills column inches for people and has readership.

I suppose people never tire of hearing what they want to hear in his circles..;)

A perfect poster boy for the resilience of the punditry in the face of failure after failure.

Morning Joe now has Kristol on as a regular now. I notice he's ballooned up quite a bit -- looks like a beach ball in a suit.

Anyway, yeah, this looks really bad for Rubio. Kiss of death.

I plan to keep an open mind... so if he drops out... he drops out in end. However, if the hillary thread is any lesson, spontaneous predictions dont always work out the way you envision.

I had no opinion one way or another about Rubio's chances until I found out that Bill Kristol predicted that he would get the nomination.

What bill Kristol says about the Potus/Vpotus ticket is about as relevant as Donald Trumps' smelly underpants right now ;)

you may hold that opinion if you wish but keep in mind it requires that one of them gets the nomination and the other to be picked as VP. There are far too many variable to be thinking that far ahead right now.

I'm (mostly) joking. It is perfectly possibly that Marco Rubio could ruin Bill Kristol's impressive record of always being wrong.

Rivaled only by Dick Morris' record.

They are excellent at pitching no-hitters with great enthusiasm.

Yeah. We all love to mock Bill Kristol for Serial Predictive Failure, but when I do, I somehow feel I'm giving the entire topic short shrift by not putting Dick Morris first in the firing line. It's like someone brings up Elizabethan dramatists, and everyone starts crowing about Ben Johnson, without mentioning that other guy, whatshisname. Except, of course, Bill Kristol is in the news and Dick Morris is apparently hiding in a cave in Tora Bora.

As far as the death knell for Rubio, Morris got there long ago...(from Wiki):

"In July 2012, he stated that he believed that Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney would pick Florida Senator Marco Rubio as his running mate; insisting "It's the only choice that makes sense," going as far as to state, "I believe Mitt Romney has known for six months that he's going to pick Marco Rubio."[42] Romney would end up choosing Wisconsin congressman Paul Ryan as his running mate."

And of course, Morris' bonus prediction was that Romney would win in a landslide.

Considering the way that Rubio's good friend and mentor Jeb Bush has been sniping at Rubio, that I have been recently expecting that Rubio would soon quit the race as well.

On the plus side, Rubio is young enough to run against Clinton in 2020.
