Making love in heaven?

Earlier today, when in bed with my girl friend and doing what bf and gf like to do, I asked her if I was already in heaven.

Which immediately brought up the question:


Will we have more or less sex, or any at all, in (the Christian) heaven than here on earth?
And if not: Who wants to go to heaven??
 
If there is no sex in heaven then there must be something a whole lot better.

After all, this is heaven we are talking about. ;)
 
If I recall, you can find another perspective about this kind of thing in Dante's Divine Comedy, in his relationship with Beatrice (Dante's ideal woman) who guides him through Heaven. It's a bit hard to describe, except perhaps to say that his earlier sexual feelings toward her are transformed to something much deeper and transcendent?

Yeah, and would that offspring get born dead (kinda necessary first step to get to heaven), or alive, and not yet qualified?
Where is Tommy Aquinas or Augustine when these serious problems arise, to steer us... after a few years of blather, to the correct path? :)
 
Back when I was a young Catholic lad, that sect was sort of moving away from the idea of "doing" much of anything in the afterlife. Perhaps the Catholic intelligentsia too realized that any human activity (even sex) would get boring after a few millennia.....
So they came up with the notion of the "Beatific Vision", which I gathered mainly consisted of sitting around basking in the glory of God...
Which would get rather tired as well, you'd think.

If i had unlimited prime rib, i would still feel like a whopper every once in a while.

Billy Graham says there will be no sex in heaven. Jehovah Witnesses say tht on paradise earth you will enjoy sex with your wife forever.

In some marriages, sex with the old dragon is hell on earth! :)
 
Sex outside marriage is supposedly a sin in the Christian version of heaven, so I'm going to assume that no, there won't be much sex going on. There isn't much explanation as to what heaven is like, other than that it's supposed to a wonderful place that you'll be in for all eternity.

I'd rather go to the heaven with all the hot virgins in it.

What if she is really bad at it?

Then it raises the philosophical question would god intervene and make her good at it, then that raises the uncomfortable realization that really, you are having sex with god, who is obviously male if your going by anything even remotely christian.
 
There will be sex, and it will be DIRTY!!!!!!
