Fantastic item on a local radio station today. Being a local station run by local DJ's they tend to be very sympathetic when cranks appear.

Recently they had a local paranormal 'investigatative' team (www.worcesterparanormalgroup.com/index.html) who they gave far too much air time to in explaining ghosts in the building. The whole article was a farce and when I emailed in to explain what the ghost probably was, it was obviously ignored.

Anyhoo, they started this morning's show with quite a build up. Apparently a local family has the real Holy Grail in a bank vault that has recently been investigated for a TV program. This made the headline news and was to be featured in the radio show.

Rather than make it into work early, I waited for the article. They mentioned that the apparent artifact had got healing powers, the owners wanted to remain anonymous and they'd been very secretive about which bank the grail was in.

They then brought on an Archeologist from Cardiff Uni who had been investigating it. They asked some questions about its powers and she answered: (not word for word, just the gist):

"The family beleive it was brought here after the crusades and it is the very cup that Jesus used at the last supper." etc.etc.

The reporter asked: "Are there any records of the healings?"

"They have a list of all the people apparently cured, although no list of the people who hadn't"

I thought this could go downhill rapidly, then the reporter asked:

"So, is it the real one?"

To which the reply came....

"Of course not, it's a 14th century wooden bowl. There are many people in the UK who think they've got the real grail, it's an incredibly common claim"

Brilliant, no nonsense answer to a blunt question. Fab.
