BAGHDAD (Reuters) - U.N. chief Kofi Annan (news - web sites) warned against an all-out military offensive to capture the rebel-held Iraqi city of Falluja, which U.S. forces urged civilians to flee as they launched fresh air and artillery strikes on Friday.

This is the kind of crap sKerry would have bought into.
What can the u.n. do? Bring em on!!!

First they will consider a resolution. then they will threaten a resolution. Then they will threaten us with another resolution. Then threaten us with a resolution 13 more times over the course of 10 years. Then they might consider limited sanctions. Then warn us that they might impose sanctions.

If all of that does not work, they will go back to the resolution option.

I should be carefull what I say though. The patience of the UN is not without limits. Eventually, they may get serious and demand that the US invade itself in response to it's international crimes. Those people don't kid around.

Can anyone tel me why the "rebel-held" city of Fallujah is so important that it requires a blood bath to get it un-held while at the same time the entire country, all of it save for one city (Kabul) of Afghanistan is back under the influence of the Taliban in cahoots with the narco terrorists and drug lords?

The rebel held city of Fallujah may very well no longer be rebel held if we had done what we came to do (look for and not find any WMDS and get rid of that bad man Saddem) and then gotten
the hell out.

We did not finish a far more imprtant job in Afgahnistan and this has made us the laughing stock of the world while at the same time we are pursuing an adventure in Iraq which the world knows has to do solely with a financial climax over which any number of oil interests are salivating or maybe worse.
