Yeah. While I don't often put much stock in polls, the swing from about a 10 pt lead to trailing by about 9 pts is pretty significant.

But it's Missouri--and I'm from Missouri. I won't feel safe until the votes are counted and Claire has won.

I actually think what he said was fine. He didn't say he supported Akin's beliefs.... other then being prolife.

I really have a problem with this "gottcha" type culture that is developing out there. We sit around foaming at the mouth waiting for people we don't agree with to say something stupid, so we can run with it and define all those who disagree with us by it.

It happens on the right.... it happens on the left.

Kirk has a lot of stupid beliefs... but what he said here was fine by me.

Republicans are the party of hate. they hate women, minorities, those whose sexual affiliation doesn't match theirs...basically anyone who is "different" than "religious white america".

Local nutjobs have contributed over 200,000 bucks to Akin's campaign. That's pretty much chump change politics-wise, but it does indicate that there are more than a few of them out there.....

Sure. But the post I was responding to didn't specify the brand of hate, it just impllied Democrats didn't have much of it.
