That's right, this is exactly was Democrats need now to galvanize their base...

He acknowledged that his nationally syndicated "Jerry Springer Show" could work against him. Guests divulge their intimate secrets -- and frequently strip down to their intimate apparel -- on episodes with titles like "Your Lover Is Mine!" and "Explosive Betrayals!"

"There are pluses and minuses," Springer said. "The plus is that I'm known by everybody. The minus is that I'm known by everybody."

...

Springer is a former Cincinnati mayor and councilman who lost the Democratic primary for governor in 1982 and considered running for the Senate in 2000. He said he also may run for Cincinnati mayor in 2005 or governor in 2006.

Refresh my memory, but didn't he get caught after he wrote a hooker a check?

Well, if he wins, becomes Speaker of the House and runs the Senate like he runs his show, it will make CSPAN more lively.

ROTFLMAO! Oh, please! CSPAN is already a low comedy as it is!

Seriously, I don't think Springer's got a shot. People are going to remember stuff like him writing a hooker a check, and the faked fights on this boobfest on the tube.

well, for one thing, if he runs for the Senate and wins, it would be impossible for him to be Speaker of the House.

He could chair the ethics committee...

He'd have a good chance if he ran in the South, and he'd increase voter turnout by a large rate by telling the people who watch his show to come out and vote.
