JE Smeinar Transcript

Here is my attempt at a transcript for the JE smeinar I attended two years back in Akron. Originally posted at Tvtalkshows.com

Akron Transcript The show commences at 6:30 and doors are set to open at 5:00. We arrive at 5:00 after a little beer and wing action at a local pub. Unfortunately a long line has formed and it stretches 1.5 blocks in length. We queue up in line and wait in a light rain.

Counting the people passing by me in line I count 90 people. Of them only 12 are male so my unscientific survey shows the audience of JE to be 13% male, 87% female. Ages are all over the place.

Eventually we get into a large conference room that by law seats a maximum of 3000. The event is sold out so this probably reflects the audience size. A few employees (young) wandered amongst the audience. Later their role seems to be to help people find seats. On two large screens, they start showing CO excerpts and these are edited versions of CO showing the big hits.

The show started promptly at 6:30. The screens behind JE show him so we can all see him well. JE starts by talking a bit. He talks about “visits” he receives from spirits. He reiterates we are all mediums. He doesn’t like the “new agey” mediums. His purpose is to show people the other side, not to talk about crystals or so forth.

He says he used to concentrate on predicting the future before 1987. He can still do it but chooses not to.

Languages are no problem but unique names can be. He says he can get unique names in English.

Spirits are excited about giving closure, healing. Can be insistent if not validated. JE does not like to waste time with cynics. Would rather use that time to find someone interested in validation.

He says he will not ever be off by initials or sounds. Names possibly.

From here he went into the Q and A portion of the show.
Note that my transcript is not verbatim. IT gets the gist of what was said. Trying to do it verbatim would require a tape recorder cause events move so quickly.

Q: Can you turn them off?
A: Yes

(Somebody nearby is and JE switches to that person)

JE: I’m getting an older male? Father? Lewis? Lucy?

L2: Yes

JE: Younger female, barb, bobby, some sort of double b connection to 5, May or the 5th? Father figure has passed.

L2: Older brother passed

JE: Father figure as well?

L2: Uncles?

JE: Getting dad.

L2: Grandfather

JE: No, someone with a carotid artery problem.

L2: Uncle by marriage

JE: Was he close?

L2: Yes

JE: Younger male also passed? Wa, Wayne, Wanda? (pause) Do you have a Doug passed?

L2: No

JE: Someone lost a daughter, connection to a B name, Bobbi, Barb.

L2: No. Yes, a cousin Suzi)

JE: Connection to B?

L2: Yes

JE: Connection to 5? I also see a slide in the back. Be careful of that.

L2: OK

READING #2

JE: I see a male, husband, a smart ass, skeptic, dead who would laugh at someone being here. Connection to P. Pat? (Points to area)

JE: Passed in Dec or anniversary in Dec or connection to Dec. Lost a child – stillborn? (Points to smaller area)

JE: (Points to specific person) You have the husband?

L3: No, but I am Pat

L4: (Different lady) I’m with Pat and my husband passed. A child was lost. Anniiversary in Decmber.

JE: Was he a sarcastic guy?

L4: Yes

JE: I’m getting Ernest

L4: Elvis?

JE: I see the Ernest movies so that is my reference. He is talking about a second marriage.

L4: Just got married again.

JE: I see a nursing connection. Or medical healthcare area.

L4: A friend is a RN. Husbands were friends.

JE: Called Pop’s as a joke?

L4: Possibly. Does he say anything about my daughter?

JE: About a son actually.

L4: Brother lost a son.

JE: Suicide?

L4: Accident

JE: Speeding or drunk?

L4: Drunk driver

JE: He was graduating. I see 1 of 3. His father there as well?

L4: No

JE: I see an older father figure to husband. Ran a business? A sporting store?

L4: - (no response)

JE: You got married in April. Or some connection in April? 28th of April

L4: No

JE: End of April. Possibly mom. A turning point. A coming together. Are you not working? On disability?

L4: Yes, on partial disability.

Here there was some sort of hit that neither my wife nor I got but the audience all “ooohed”.

L4: Anything about my daughter

JE: No

JE: Someone’s son coming through. Scotty, Stevie? A Jn name here connected to the Scotty. Jason, Justin, Jackson – not John. Passed. Not an accident but died of a freaky thing.

(Man answers)
M1: My Dad’s name is Sam, I have a son Jackson.

JE: Son passed?

M1: No

JE: Not for you. A quick death.

(someone else answers)
L5: Twin sons passed, Steve and Johnnie.)

JE: Real name not John?

L5: Johnathon

JE: 3 kids lost?

L5: No

JE: Besides twins was another kid passed?

L5: Yes

JE: One passed in sleep suddenly

L5: Yes

JE: Other viral

L5: Exactly

JE: Liz or Elizabeth, Eileen?

L5: Eileen is mothers middle name.

JE: Who is Elizabeth

L5: Middle name of daughter

JE: I only get a middle name when the first name is shared. I am seeing congestive heart failure.

L5: Mother

JE: Buried together.

L5: Yes

JE: Died near each other.

L5: Yes

JE: Two sons living

L5: Yes

JE: Someone else pregnant now

L5: No. Perhaps it is your wife?

JE: (laughs) No.

L5: Unless you have plans tonight.
(Whole audience and JE laughs.)

JE: Only rarely am I at a loss for words…

JE: Daughter has a broken finger or hand.

L5: No

JE: Two fingers taped together

L5: No

JE: Two sons together. Step away from the passing. Someone got up and talked about it, in a group.

L5: -

JE: I see a lady next to a military guy. Mom’s dad in the military?

L5: No

JE: Someone next to you. Mom’s dad passed?

L5: Yes

JE: I see a hound dog (makes howling sound)

L5: Yes

JE: Pregnancy, you or your family.

L5: No

JE: Someone on meds, or depressed, down. Timmy, Tommy? Cousin or connection to side. High school connection or cousin. And making a decanter of alcohol or wine.

L5: Don’t know. We come from a long line of moonshiners.

JE: OK, someone to side is trying to come through. Thanks.
READING #4
On to the most confusing reading of the night, at least for your humble correspondent to transcribe. I am not confident I got the right people saying the right things on this one. It went to fast and had too many people in on it. There were four ladies all being read at the same time it seemed.

JE: On this side, we will have two families. Looking for 2 family connection. Florence, raise you hand. Or a Flo that passed.

L6: I am Florence

JE: With someone?

L6: No

JE: You have family or friends here somewhere. I see a Rose here somewhere.

L6: Rose is my middle name

JE: (Points to other area) Looking for Rose, Rosita?

L7: (New lady pointing to someone next to her) She said Roseanne

JE: Do you know her (addressed to the Rose character, referring to Florence)?

L7: No

JE: (Coming back to Florence or L6) I see a mutual connection to your families. A February or 2nd connection. Other R name around you, do you understand?

L6: Yes

JE: A husband or brother who passed?

L6: No

JE: Connection to February or the second? Male to side.

L6: I have a good friend.

JE: Male?

L6: Yes

JE: I see an older female who could not walk. Bad leg or missing a leg.

L6: Yes

JE: Getting a family connection.

JE: (Switches to another woman)

L8: I have a Rose who is partially paralyzed.

JE: Do you know Florence?

L8: No. Person behind me had aunt Rose who died.

L9: (New person) My birthday is Feb 1

JE: Did you sit and move?

L9: No

JE: I see a connection with hair.

L9: Mom passed away and lost her hair.

JE: I see an issue about that. Like they used a bad wig or something.

JE: (Back to Florence) Is your mom still here?

L6: No

JE: (To other) There needs to be a connection between you two.

L6: Recent passing?

JE: No. Somehow you have the same person connected to you two. The same person passed.

(Here the ladies establish that they used to work at the same place.)

JE: Car accident connection

L?: Teresa, remember Dolly Watson’s car accident? Someone she worked with.

JE: Someone in Dolly’s family had a happy experience recently. Dolly was there.

JE: I am getting a Ja name.

L?: James passed in February

JE: She is bringing him through. Also getting a V name

L?: Aunt named Veronica

JE: Passed through, with them?

L?: No

JE: I see food at work, something unique.

L?: Cupcakes? We used to bring a lot of food into work.

JE: Someone brought something from their deceased and is sitting on it.

L10: I was sitting on a ribbon.

JE: No, too small.

L10: I had it in a bag.

JE: Getting a Carl or Carla connection.

L10: I have a friend Carla.

JE: Dad passed?

L10: No

JE: Not with you. Wrong section. Flag or blanket from deceased.

L11: (New person) I was sitting on my mom’s coat.

JE: No, I’m over here. (points to other area) Dn connection. Don, Donald.

L12: (New person) Dad’s name is Dan. Brother sitting on badge.

JE: Do you have fabric from deceased?

L12: No

JE: Father’s passed. Dn name?

L12: Daniel

L13: (Someone else interrupts) I have a change purse in my back pocket.

JE: Not you.

JE: I think I’m with you. (to L12) Did you have a funeral or wake when he passed?

L12: Yes

JE: Something placed with him?

L12: Yes, a flag was draped over his coffin.

JE: (to brother of L12) I see you following in his footsteps, or trying to.

M2: (brother) Yes, I want to be a cop.

JE: You’re not from the area are you?

M2: Mentor, 45 minutes away. (Mentor is up by Cleveland)

JE: Have you finished school yet?

M2: No

JE: He is giving me grief about you not finishing.

M2: I got kicked out.

JE: Twice? I see twice.

M2: My sister got kicked out too.

JE: Are you Chris?

M2: Dan

L12: (sister) My baby’s father is Chris.

JE: He’s still here?

L12: Yes (She didn’t seem to like her baby’s father at all and made some comment)

JE: I see a two year old

L12: 18 months

JE: I see a baby having trouble breathing.

L12: Dunno. I had a C-section. Cousin had breathing problems at birth.

JE: Did it happen after Dad’s death?

L12: Yes

JE: He is using this as a validation. Is granny here?

L12: Yes

(I missed something here)

JE: Sh name connection.

L13 (Granny shakes head)

JE: Cousin or aunt

L13: We don’t have that name in Italian families.

JE: S name

L12: (back to younger female) a neighbor Sally.

JE: Came after him?

L12: Yes

JE: Close to Birthday or anniversary?

L12: Near birthday.

JE: 23rd means what?

L12: -

JE: Getting boy and 23. Joseph or Josephine

L12: Niece’s little boy Joseph.

JE: His Dad is with her?

L12: No

JE: It went untreated?

JE: I see a unique party, with stripping.

L12: Probably him.

L12: One Christmas a nephew was in the backyard in underwear in snow.

JE: Person with a brain tumor is with them.

L12: My father

JE: You have taken on the role of father. Saying things he said.

L12: Yes

JE: If you prefer you don’t have to validate this but I see a connection to kids and a safe
relationship. The person is married or attached. Be careful.

JE: (to M2, brother) If you don’t become a cop dad says it is ok. Did they have another name they called you?

M2: Spud

JE: I see the 17th as significant.

JE: Passed?

JE: No, someone else. Connected to Ann. (Points further back)

JE: First name?

L16: Family name.

JE: (Back to original person) November connection?

L14: No. you said Ann, my daughter is Ann and has a November connection.

JE: I see a father figure connected to you that has passed. Who’s the gunshot man?

L14: Father

JE: Active shooter?

L14: Yes

JE: Argument with another shooter.

L14: Yes, but not because of him.

JE: Back to Mom, I see a female, cancer, had it spread or it was in two different areas. An insurance connection. Fire in the house.

L14: Grandma’s house had a fire.

JE: Grandma passed

L14: Yes

JE: I see cancer here.

L14: Aunt Pat! The shooter’s sister.

JE: they are bringing them with. Someone who lost a son. Dennis, Denise connection.

L14: Father’s brother

JE: Are you or someone you know planning a surprise party?

L14: No

JE: There is a party. Act surprised. It will be happening. I also see a babysitting issue in the family. Someone being slighted.

JE: I am getting a father figure. I see digging a hole or trench so water fades out. Right now.

L17: Father passed. Dug trench to reroute water.

JE: K name, Kelly?

L17: Clementine

JE: Still here?

L17: Passed

JE: He did not know here in life.

L17: No, he did not.

JE: July connection?

L17: Mom’s birthday.

JE: 19th connection?

L17: That is the day we moved our father’s things out of his house.

JE: I see this as a turning point. Three separate events out of yours, his control. Surrender to the process. Don’t hold out bitterness. Understand?

L17: Yes

JE: Someone feels wronged. Fire or devastation, something big.

L17: Yes

JE: Pile up of debts, loans.

L17: Yes

JE: Need to sit down with a lawyer. Some talk of Sue.

L17: Sister

JE: I see three Sue’s in the family.

L17: Grandmother, her, no other.

JE: Sue, Sue, Sue

L17: Her mother in law also is a Sue.

JE: I see feeding a raccoon, from Dad.

L17: Probably mom. Passed away in August. She was a camper used to chase raccoons and feed them.

JE: What completely different energies between Mom and Dad. Mom was “let’s go fly a kit” and Dad was serious like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders.

L17: Yes, mom was strong.

JE: Have you heard stories about Mom that shocked you?

L17: Not shocking

JE: What about a restaurant story?

L17: The day of his burial, my mom never liked my uncle, his car had a beer bottle thrown through his window in the restaurant parking lot. We always figured that was mom.

JE: How about a mud story? Memorial in the rain? Someone fell and got dirty? Mom is laughing.

L17: No

JE: Who has the earring?

L18: (sister shows her earrings)

JE: Do you have an unusual piercing?

L18: Day of burial got nose pierced.

JE: Not that, but you joked about getting something else pierced.

L18: Yes

JE: She’s telling me about a minor fender bender, no insurance? Take responsibility. Should have told her. Just nod. Says Helen. Helen with missing teeth. Used to make fun of her (whistles out of the side of his mouth)

L18: -

JE: Are you getting married?

L18: No

JE: Wedding took place.

L?: (one of the three sisters standing) She wants to get married.

JE: you still have the house?

L18: They demolished the house. I still have my old house that I am trying to sell.

JE: Small house, lots of land?

L18: Yes

JE: She says something about painting the front and being able to sell it.

L18: She painted the front.

JE: Some connection about a joke about cocaine, flour or…

L18: Sounds like her.

JE: Who is the Gemini?

L18: Her nephew, she was like a second mom to him. Used to say crack kills.

Q: Ever get together with other psychics? You know more than you are letting on about the other side. Why not tell us what the other side is like.

A: I don’t know what the other side is like. I tried asking but spirits are more interested in speaking to relatives.

Q: Ever been frightened by a spirit?

A: 99% no. Tells an anecdote where he was very scared. Spirits don’t care about physical things like peeing or sex. That does not bother them.

A: Not seeing people physically. Energy. In my mind.

Q: (New person. JE points to him rasing his hand and he stands up) (this guy was only 6 feet away from me!

JE: Congrats on the tires.

M3 then asks his question Q: How do you respond to people who say this has demonic influences?

A: I stay away from those people. (Relates an anecdote about Padre Pio.) This is a validation of something divine.

JE: I am looking for a lady in yellow, their dad passed.

L26: Yes

JE: Alcohol problem in the family.

L26: Yes

JE: I see a beer mug on the other side. Ed, Edward.

L26: His middle name

JE: Younger man. Willie, William there also.

L26: No.

JE: June

L26: Grandmother’s birthday.

JE: Next week is an anniversary. A Minister connection.

JE: (Points out someone) Around you. We have something in common. Birthday, common likes.

M4: October birthday

JE: 19th?

M4: No, 22nd.

JE: Someone had pancreatic liver cancer. Or liver problem.

M4: Yes

JE: Differenet man in life. Couldn’t find words. Pot calling the kettle black. Education wise. Pressure from son. Coming and going twice. Even while passing he coulddn’t soften.

M4: It was him.

JE: Not a religious man. Fear of dying. Old woman near him, polio, wheelchair. Also blind person. Also Oscar. Ossie? Iskie?

M4: No

JE: He says yes. An uncommon name.

M4: I don’t know an Oscar.

JE: Iggie. He says a March connection.

M4: It’s my wife’s birthday.

JE: You had a connection over a car with him?

M4: No

JE: You’re not a doctor are you?

M4: No

JE: Who is?

M4: Cousin

JE: Doctor but not a medical doctor. PhD?

M4: I knew a guy named Doc who passed away.

JE: Someone younger than him?

M4: -

JE: I see a coin collection.

M4: My wife’s?

JE: There is a missing coin or an unobtainable coin?

M4: -

JE: I have a J connection.

M4: -

JE: Hawaii or tropics trip planned?

M4: -

JE: Moving, I see boxes. Inevitable.

JE: How’s your foot?

M4: Fine. My wife is getting toe surgery.
READING #12
This reading was prefaced as the last of the night.

JE: Over there. Someone lost entire family. Two to three passed at same time or within a short period of time. That area. (Points to side)

L27: My boss lost five people in 11 months.

JE: No, I’m getting a Sept 11 sort of feeling. As if person is alone now and rest of family gone.

L28: Sept 11 is my anniversary. Lost two people over time.

JE: No

L29: (Another bad connection)

JE: June connection. Same time, same place. An event.

L30: I loved near PA crash site. June birthday.

JE: (ignores her) A V connection. In the first 3 to 4 rows.

L31: (Another bad connection)

L32: My daughter, whose birthday is in June. Also a son in law’s brother lost his family in a fire.

JE: Cause Mom cannot go alone.

JE: Make sure she tells them all they need to know. She doesn’t tell the doctors everything.

I ouwld say that it gets the "gist" across 95% of the time. I shortened the verbage of most sentences but got what the question and answers were to most questions. Where I was in doubt I mention that fact.

None of the readings were televised. I wish that were not so as it would have been intersting to see if there were any discrepancies.

In trying to compare to LKL or CO I would say my experience lay somewhere in between. Better than what I have seen on LKL but far worse than CO.

We were not allowed to bring a tape recorder in but I would council anyone to ignore that stipulation and bring one in anyway. They don't search you. I do write notes very fast though.

On the tvtalkshows board, another poster wrote up the reading that she got personally, which was from the Akron seminar. Sometimes the order of the guesses was slightly different to Lurker's, but apart from that the two tallied pretty well. And this other sitter wasn't taking notes. I think we can take these with a fair degree of confidence.

Interesting post. Ok, so it's not a 100% guaranteed verbatim account, but then neither is the selectively edited Crossing Over which people seem happy to debate ad infinitum.

One thing that struck me. You said the seminar was about two years ago. Did it take place after September 11 2001? The reason I ask is that you mention this...

If this reading took place after 9/11 then JE has just sunk even lower in my estimation.
