Jayson Blair was only the tip of the iceberg for the New York Times

It looks like the Jayson Blair embarrassment was only the tip of the iceberg for the New York Times, whose reputation is going steadily downhill. Blair’s shenanigans were quickly followed by columnist Maureen Dowd’s purposeful mischaracterization of a quote by President Bush. And now, correspondent Rick Braggs has resigned over an article that carried his name, despite the fact that an unpaid intern did the majority of the reporting.

It is unfortunate that the press in our country is so lazy and inept. They seem more interested in furthering their careers and earning money than in finding truth or taking the effort to truly investigate.

Then again, perhaps they feel it is all right to lie cause Bush himself has encloaked himself in a culture of lying. Check out this doozy:

In remarks to Polish television released on Friday, President Bush stated "We found the weapons of mass destruction."

Wow! Incredible. Glad to hear of this breakthrough. Ooops, no weapons of mass destruction, just two mobile labs. Not that they are legal but they are not WMD.

The NY Times is the most biased newspaper in the country almost every news story is slanted to the left while showing any conservative opinion in a negative way.
The truth about their reporting style is finely coming out.

Bwah hah hah hah hah. Yeah, as opposed to Fox News, which does what?

Yes, the media in this country is biased. About 10% of it to the left, about 90% of it pandering to the lowest common denominator of the right.

It makes sense, though, as long as the working class keeps voting for the people who want to make them lifelong slaves with no retirement and no medical care, well, HECK, why not pander to them? After all, who owns that media and what keeps it in check in any given market? NOTHING.

Can you provide some examples of this 90% right views in the mainstream media besides Fox News?

Why? Somewhere around the last time I presented an example of obvious right-wing pandering you insisted that it was left-wing.

There's no reasoning with you.

I agree. When radical leftist ideology gets loose inside a corporation, the corporation becomes a broken corporation.

That's laughable. 90% of all journalists are card-carrying democrats.

Look how they eat each other alive too when some of them get caught BS'ing the public trust. Pretty funny stuff. I think it is funny watching the New York Times implode.
