Java Problem?

My girlfriend had problems with Spyware and a virus on her PC.

She was finally able to get rid of it all with McAfee (Norton wouldn't clean it), Spybot and Microsoft's Spyware tool.

Now however, certain web sites will not load on her browser. For instance, attempting to go to www.google.com results in a "Page cannot be displayed" "Cannot find server" page. Samewith many other sites.

The JREF site, and this forum, comes up fine.

I have tried clearing the cache, but it doesn't help.

Also, she can no longer play certain Java-based games. The applet can't initialize.

I've tried downloading the lates Java, but have similar problems trying to do that.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Ooops. Never mind.

All it needed was a reboot. I thought she had done so since the trouble started, but evidently not.
