Japanese Ghost Girl

If you look closely at the blow-up at the end, the hair of the girl in the mirror passes the frame of the mirror. Obviously editing trickery. They just froze that section but couldn't keep in steady enough.

Seriously, the friend I mentioned earlier in this thread spammed me with a bunch of "ghost videos", as she was bored and did it for the hell of it. The one thing she actually believes in are ghosts... otherwise, she's an atheist (or as close to one as you can get), and rejects all the other supernatural claims. She had "an experience". She doesn't really want to talk about it, though.

Anyways, regardless, almost all of the films she showed were pretty much easily shown to be either film manipulation or tricks of light, with one case of "live acting" (with "hands reaching up to make the bedsheet bulge" trick). Either way, I don't think she really took any of them too seriously. It's hard to tell with her.

What gets my goat is that they always have some sort of people to watch such a thing; gameshow contestants, "skeptics" (almost always pseudo skeptics), or various other people on television to "see their expressions!" They always see something such as a trick of light looking like two eyes staring at someone (but only barely, if you actually enact pareidolia willfully!), and then GASP WITH SHOCK! Sometimes I feel like I live in a world filled with dupes. Then I remind myself that I am filled in a world with dupes, and then play games.

Anyways, time to hit the hay.

A friend of mine had a similar "experience." Smoked pot until he thought he was telepathic.

Oh...wait...I have the tools. Now I just need the ambition. Nah, nothing's coming to me right now.

That goes with the person that compared her to someone that smokes pot.
 
Nah, no disrespect to you friend Lonewulf. That video would have been acceptable as a project in most college video manipulation classes. It wasn't painstakingly done (as Starthinker noted) but it wasn't painfully obvious either.
 
The video is so blurry I can't quite see what to look for when you guys say the hair crosses the mirror. Is it on the left or the right side?
 
The hair leaves the edge of the mirror in the freeze frame. I can't see where, exactly, but someone pointed it out in an earlier thread.
 
Damn it, I already have a mild irrational fear of mirrors. This isn't helping it any! :jaw-dropp
 
Very nice. Although I'm tempted to use the old "oh no, the mirror's broken" joke.
