When I first heard of Jackson's death, one of the first things I thought about was how it would affect news coverage of other world events. I remember thinking that Iran or North Korea could be nuked and we would only hear about it after details of how Jackson's doctor's car was towed were thoroughly discussed by the talking heads of CNN or Fox News.
Today I see on Fox News that someone finally noticed that the "economy and 2 wars (are) taking backseat to Jackson's death." Instead of just switching to something more news worthy, two commentators discussed in detail on how or why this was happening. I think they do not notice irony even when they are talking about it.
