Is this a parody site?

Amazingly, no. Randi's mentioned him in his commentary several times, and I think there's actually been some FTC action against him.

Apears to be genuin. Googleing him he cheaks out. Apears to have been around for a while and has been acused of spamming in the past.

Thank you, no wonder I didn't find it funny. Magnets. I should do a parody site about freakin magnets. This guy's claims are the most outrageous I've seen yet. I don't know If I could top it for a parody site.

I think it is. There was a interview with him on techtv and while he didn't actualy comeout and say its a joke he seemed pretty light-hearted about it. Furthermore Randi has been wrong before.

Oh sure, confuse the heck outta me:)

It's real. A few years back they were making fun of him on "The Daily Show"(I think Craig Kilborne was still hosting at the time.), and he was serious.

Here's the disclaimer from that site, typos included.

"All written and oral statements are my true beliefs. There are at this moment not yet medicalclaims. I am basically writing this disclaimer to protect myself from the FDA. Thedevices are for research and experimentation of the buyers. Not to be carried outas treatment on someone else's body."

Here is how bogus he is: His web page address is automatically starred out on the freaking Atlantis Rising Magazine forum.
http://www.atlantisrising.com

People come on there occasionally to rave about his "amazing rings".

Hmmm ... funny, I don't remember anybody laughing at Thomas Edison.

(And most of Nikola Tesla's "discoveries" are in the woo woo category. He just got lucky a few times.)

Good ole Alex. The Internet just won't be the same without his insights.

I'm wearing one of his immortality rings right now (poles hideously reversed)... oh, the agony.

I always trust a guy who's website looks like it was designed in 1996 -AND- who uses FOR YEARS a photocopy of a poorly scanned picture of himself.

While his site may not be a parody, I don't think he takes it seriously. I think his attitude is, "Well, I'm kind of joking here, but if you really want to buy this junk, sure, I'll take your money."

Can someone verify or refute this for me: Somewhere I got the idea that Chiu was responsible for the Bonzai Kittens, but I don't know why I think that. Does anyone here know for sure? Since that was obviously a joke, I figured his other stuff was too, but perhaps not.

Hmm, double-posting. Methinks more patience is in order.

Mr. Chiu is delightful in his goofiness, but he really can't match the contribution the time cube guy has made to the internet!

Y'know, whenever some crackpot trots out the old "they laughed at so-and-so" line to defend his theory, I always think of the old Marx Brothers' joke (I my not have it word-perfect, but it's the gist):
Groucho: "They said Einstein was mad! They said Edison was mad! They said Marconi was mad! They said my Uncle Herbert was mad...!"
Chico: "Your Uncle Herbert? But I ain't never heard of your Uncle Herbert!"
Groucho: "That's because he was mad!" :D

Much as I love to read about Tesla, anyone who lists him as the inventor of radio is a certified woo-woo.

LOL the device shown looks like something that fell off of my '87 Ford station wagon that caused the transmission to stop working.

I guess most people are as unsure as I am. It just seems somewhere in the middle. Some wild claims, but not like some people who are like "buy this buy this buy this".

His soft sell might just be another style to try to push a crazy idea. I'm more willing to believe he believes in wooism.

That guy is pond scum and a thief. I personally invented that device in 1374 and now that jerk is trying to get rich selling it on the web. Bastard!

marxist

I don't like junior crossing the train tracks on his way to school. In fact, I don't like junior at all.

I personally believe there's something to it. Anyone else think so?

Ours bodies are electo-magnetic in nature. These rings are electro-magnetic in nature. What happens when magnets interact? They either repel or attract. There's a force at work.

The site tells you how to make your own. I'll consider doing just that.
