Trent Lott says that the world would be a better place if a known souther segregationist had been elected president. And he was what, Speaker of the House? (I only remember that sleaze bag Tipster.)

That is not what Lott said. You may interpret what he actually said any way you like but unless you are claiming that you can read minds your interpretation is no more correct than anyone else's. Nice try.

If you would actually read the article you might comprehend that it says that it was a "briefing on Haiti" not a Hispanic forum as you incorrectly describe it.

Haiti ... very black , the land of VooDoo and all that mumbo jumbo... and we return any one coming from that island...
(Maybe the best thing for Haiti would be to be over run by the Pinkos so they can get a free pass as well!)

Strawman. This is a skeptic's forum is it not?

I am not arguing the validity of Rep. Brown's comments. I am suggesting that if the roles would have been reversed and Rep. Bonilla (or any other Republican for that matter) told someone of a minority race "you all look alike to me", it would have been all over the news just like Lotts comments were. Maybe I am wrong, but that is why I asked the questions in my original post, for feedback and discussion not a smart-assed, ideologically driven diatribe.

Well maybe you did and maybe you didn't. I couldn't find it anywhere on Yahoo, I didn't hear it on NPR or see it on any of the big media outlets. Please, show me a couple of links from major news locations and I will have the answers to my questions. Thanks.
