Criticism of a nation's or government's actions is necessary.

Watchdogs are necessary to report injustices and and indignities and weapons proliferation.

Is it acceptable for statesmen to go beyond criticism and being interested in the internal affairs of a sovereign nation?

Will Iran be the theatre for phase 3 of the suppossed " War on Terrorism" that involves accusations but little proof to back up accusations.
...the U.S. government has put pressure on the government by accusing it of harbouring terrorists and hiding a nuclear-weapons program.
