Intelligence official say U.S. has retrieved craft of non-human origin

I was watching a Fraser Cain video this morning and he made a really good point which I will try to paraphrase:

Imagine that there really are aliens visiting our planet and the government (NASA and/or the military) had evidence that these aliens exist. Maybe even bodies. Whatever. The point is, they know that extraterrestrials are here or have been here, and they have the evidence to prove it.

What would they actually do in that case? Cover it up? Keep it a secret from the public and from congress? That would be insane. Think about how much NASA's budget would go up if UFOs were real. Think about how much the Pentagon's (DoD's) budget would go up if UFOs were real. Think about all of the opportunities for military contracts. You go to congress and say "We need more money to study these aliens!!" or "to protect ourselves from these aliens" and congress would give them more money. There is no incentive to cover it up for anyone. The only incentive would be to scream it from the rooftops.

That's why the whole notion of a "cover-up" fails. The government has no reason to cover it up and plenty of reasons to not cover it up. Maybe they want to keep certain aspects of the technology a secret, but not the fact of the existence of aliens itself.

I can think of a million reasons for covering it up. What if the space aliens were super super super hot space babes? Husbands would lose interest in their wives, it would be cataclysmic.

Okay, I can think of one reason. I was rounding up to the nearest million.

I can think of another. The people covering things up are being paid by the Outer Space Aliens to keep their existence secret . . . . because . . . because . . .

Give me a minute or two. I think I can figure this out. :boxedin:

Ya! Because "UFOs" containing aliens are a peculiarly American issue.

Not sure if you are agreeing or disagreeing, but this is a hypothetical thought experiment. And this is a thread about the topic [Former US] "Intelligence official say U.S. has retrieved craft of non-human origin", so I am assuming a case where the US government has this hypothetical evidence.

Well I assume that the US government does not have such evidence, hypothetical or otherwise, regardless of the thread title. Was Fraser Cain, in your paraphrase of his comments, referring to this thread title/topic specifically? Or to the arrival of non-terrestrial craft in general? Is there a particular reason why a non-terrestrial visit would necessarily occur in the USA?

I've said before, going purely on land area, it's more likely for an alien craft to crash into China or Russia than in the United States.

In other words, if humans have their hands on alien tech, it's them that has it.

And even more likely to crash into the ocean but that has never happened. NO WAIT: Shag Harbour UFO incidentWP

But since nothing was found, we'll never know. :(

Do you know what the word "hypothetical" means? Because it sounds like you don't.

Your questions are completely irrelevant to point I was making. Of course it could hypothetically occur in another country, but I was talking about the US as an example. (I don't believe it has happened in any country, but since it's just a hypothetical I can make it anywhere I want to.) The point I was trying to make is that IF what Mr. Grusch is alleging were actually true, it doesn't make sense for the government to cover it up. That's all I'm trying to say.

Meanwhile, Stephen Greenstreet is reporting that in 2009, Senator Harry Reid ,

#9 is Michael Greene, the future husband of Alex DietrichDietrich is one of the Navy pilots who claims to have witnessed the "Tic Tac" UFO in 2004.

I need to ask, what the hell is really going on here?

You may find this interesting:
