For sale...on eBay:

There's so much woo it's just...unbelievable. I can't believe anyone would buy this. I should whittle stakes and sell anti-vampire kits. I bet someone would buy them.

Do people actually buy these things? Yes, they do. And looking at the seller's other (past) auctions I just want to puke.

The pass any drug test magic pill for potheads

The guy has over 2k 'positive' feedback responses...and only 3 negative over the last year.

It's funny that eBay allows this blatant fraud and scamming to go on, but when a person tries to sell a classic 1975 issue of Playboy in a collectibles section instead of the "Adult" area, you get your account suspended for two weeks.

The more startling thing is this seller has almost 2400 positive feedbacks!!!

Sometimes it's just so hard to tell hahaha.
I think the guy is actually serious. I saw him interviewed on The Daily Show, although I can't remember if it was post-Kilborn or pre-Stewart. He seems to believe in what he's saying (and selling).

Then how come:

- the "100% Satisfaction Guarantee" is only good for 30 days? If these things make me live forever, I won't know if I'm satisfied for another hundred years or so, and since he'll still be around too, his guarantee should last at least that long.

- he offers an even stronger "NeoMag" model, with 3 times the Gauss, for $13 more? Why would you need this? Will it make you live longer than forever?

Correct. Unfortunately, Chiu is serious. One clue: It takes the dedication of a fanatic to design such a lousy website... :)

I'm talking about Alex Chiu. I have no idea about the ebay guy.

Although, now that I look closer at the auction, he is mentioning Alex. Maybe they have a deal worked out.

If you have one of these in the house, do you get unkillable roaches in the kitchen?

Only if they've got the roach version of the Eternal Life Device.

Hmmm...

Try selling a "Certificate of Ownership for One(1) Soul, slightly used"

They couldn't complain that it was a body part (you're offering the certificate, not the soul) or that it was intangible (there would be an actual paper certificate).

I have to post an auction, see you later :)
