Peter Jennings is on his way to being president. Or George Soros. Think about it. Arnold is not the only game in town.

The immigrant-as-president proposals I've seen required twenty years' citizenship, so I believe that would rule out Jennings. Dunno about Soros.

But it ain't gonna happen as long as one party has someone like Schwarzenegger waiting on deck and the other one doesn't.

This amendment has been kicked around for years. Funny, in the past its always been objected too by republicans. Now they change there tune. How noble.

BUt has anyone thought of the dangers?!? What happens when the Jeeeeeeews install an Israelie robot as our next president!

The dems do actually... Jennifer Granholm would make for a really solid vice-prez, if not prez.

I wonder how much money some one like the Reverend Sun Young Moon could raise, and how many millions of voters he could mobilize.

1) Probably about a hundred million, asumming he has a million followers and they cough up a hundred bucks each; 2) About 100-150 million votes. Of course, he'd only get the votes of his one million followers; the rest would go to his opponent, even if his opponent were Buckey Katt.

His church alone might be a million members, but he controls a lot of major media outlets...the potential voter following for Moon (assuming a well financed, well run campaign) could easily be in the Perotian 10 to 15% range, allowing him to be a major broker of votes.

References?

I'm against it, personally.

No way Arnold could win anyway. We all know how the right hates Hollywood types...they'd never be so stupid as to vote for a person because he was in the movies.

[/sarcasm]

Can you imagine the dirt they can dig up on Arny.

The son of a nazi as president of the US?? I dont think so.

Didn't 'they' already dig up that claim about Bush Sr.?

Bush Sr. wasn't the son of a Nazi, his father did business with the Nazis.

Arnold isn't a Christian. He could not possibly be nominated to run as the Republican candidate for President.

Of course, W is an inarticulate know-nothing, and I felt the same impossibility when I heard mention of his presidential aspirations 6 or so years ago. I guess there's no underestimating the wisdom of people in large groups.

Really? I didn't know that. What faith doth he professeth?

Really! Still difficult to believe, isn't it?

He may profess Christianity, but the fundies are not going to believe he's one of them. (the way they do about Bush, and increadibly, Reagan.)

If the amendment is passed he will be the Republican candidate. Arnold is big tough guy, but I'm guessing he sells his sole to the Republican party to get the bid.

...and he will win...and get the votes of more than a handfull of people on this forum.

Take it to the bank.

Thank you. If Reverend Moon for president wasn't enough to scare people out of this foolishness, how hard do they think it would be for Rupert to make himself into a 'distinguished gentleman'?

I can't imagine any American who owns a gun and does not want gun possession to become a crime to ever vote for Schwarzenegger. I do not know why the GOP would want him, he is a RINO. A poster child for democrats in denial. But then again, with the choices we have had lately, he might be the best available some day.
