I know less than nothing about AOL. I do not use, never have used, and never will use, AOL. Unfortunately I have relatives, so...
Here's the problem. My mom uses AOL on a dial-up. She reads all of her email online. She has a sister who is apparently sending email from an AOL account with a request for Read-receipts. Mom swears that she is not given a choice by AOL as to whether or not to send the read-receipt. Mom gets really annoying calls from her sister if she does not respond to EVERY SINGLE EMAIL as soon as she reads it.
Mom does not like those calls.
So, my question is: how can someone using AOL as does my mother prevent a read-receipt from being sent to the originator of the email?
Can anyone here help? I googled without success, and AOL has been less than helpful (there's a surprise).
Thanks
