So this morning, I decided to download updates for a couple of my Firefox extensions.
Download and installed the updates - Firefox wouldn't work. Started, restarted, rebooted - nada, nix. My Firefox browser was frozen.
Ok, I thought, it's reinstall time. Went to add/remove programs, selected Mozilla Firefox, hit "Remove program".
Then this thought crept up on me: "Holy batsh*t!!!! My bookmarks!! My passwords!! My extensions!!Why the &*%$ didn't you back them up first, you stupid.....!!!!!"

Went off for a calming cup of tea. Returned and gloomily downoladed and installed Firefox. Prepared myself for a looooong afternoon of finding and putting back my bookmarks and passwords.

But wait! I opened up the new Firefox and reflexively opened the bookmark tab.
And they are all there! All my old bookmarks, every one of them! Joy!!
And my passwords!! Joy, joy!!
And my extensions! Happy happy joy joy!!!

Firefox - I kiss you!!!!!!!!

Does this belong here? :-p

Yes, you have to actively delete your profile information. Is a good thing.

I love Firefox too, but not in the same way as I love my cat.

In fact, I love Firefox so much I coughed up the dough to get my name on that NYT ad they did... Sad, aren't I? :p

Me likey firefox too. It kicks so much IE ass.

Next stop for me...Macville, and I'll be able to kiss off Windows forever.

Hey, how much does a refurbed pre-loved previous-model iBook cost these days in the US? I'm looking for a very basic one, as long as it has the SuperDrive (DVD/CD-RW).

Well obviously if they loved it it's better adjusted than one which was hated. So probably more expensive.

You can go windows-less much cheaper by converting your existing PC to that other OS... Now - does it end in SD or nix?

Since I do Windows, Win64, and MacOS development, I won't be visiting 'nix'ville anytime soon. :)

I do love Firefox on all systems - in that way (hard to clean my monitors constantly). Tabbed browsing makes that other browser look antiquated. Don't forget about 'about:config'.

Clear

I enjoy the TOOLS menu option (Ctrl + Shift + Delete) "Clear Private Data"

Blows away cookies, cache, history, and authenticated sessions ** poof, gone **

Very smooth.

Uma Thurman brandishing a quality nihonto - what a turn on! ;) (throws towel away)

Ahhh, I love Firefox. Will your marry me?
