Ok,

So it is only a LITTLE over a year since I last came over here. I tried a couple times yesterday, but finally gave up and had to reset my password! But, what is funny is this, what I logged back in Read What it told me:

You last visited: 15th September 2005 at 06:17 PM

<sigh>

Wow, it WAS a long time! Sorry I was gone so long, but it has been a long, friggin' year over here... But, now I can actually talk and walk, all that stuff. If anyone has taken the time to listen to any of our new shows, you can hear well my voice rehab has gone.

And LAST night, we put up one of the best episodes EVER. Randi and Shermer just talking about life and their views of the world, etc... it is like being a fly on the wall during one of the best conversations ever. We are more impressed that we actually now got to get that audio and want to make sure that it never goes away. Something I am going to have to keep giving the kids in the future when they ask: "So who WAS James Randi anyway?".

If you aren't subscribed to our show, you can get that great sit down between Randi and Shermer by going to our website:
http://www.skepticality.com/

You can either click the 'Listen Now' on the front page, or you can download it from the feed, or the 'Past Episodes' link on the menu on the right. :)

Take a listen and have fun!

Nice to be back...

Thanks!

And it is funny cause I was actually looking up those video links at the office earlier today and was going to post them on our site! :)

Criticism of the show...

I've tried listening to your show but I usually get bored of it quickly. It isn't the content that's the problem. The main problem is the fact that you and your co-host make me fall asleep. You need to be more vibrant and outgoing on the show to keep listeners awake and interested. Your voices sound dull and boring to me.

Plus many including myself run on 56k and the shows are too hard to stream. Isn't there something you can do to fix that?

You've probably head the 'Infidel guy' show. Him I like listening to.

Ah, that's not bad. D & S are being who they are, real people and real cool. Yes, podcasts can be hard to get on 56k, not much that can be done about that unless there is a VERY low quality copy of the mp3.

I disagree. I like your show just fine the way it is. Your personalities come across clearly, and you both seem intelligent, likeable, and friendly. You ask good, open-ended questions and let your guests speak. Most of all, you strike a good balance between communicating your passion and letting the content speak for itself.

(FWIW, I don't like the Infidel Guy's style all that much.)

Keep doing what you're doing. It's important to many people. And welcome back!

Hey! The return of Rip van Winkle!

Glad you're back in fighting shape. The Reiki I sent really worked, right?:D

I'm a big fan of the show. And don't be vibrant. That's breakfast radio dj stuff.

Welcome back, Derek! I was glad to hear Skepticality start back up, too. It's the podcast that got me started on podcasts in general, and it was sorely missed.

The Randi interview brought up a lot of issues I'm sort of shocked haven't come up on the forum yet (that I've seen). It was great to listen to, though.

Glad you're better. Heard the Shermer/Randi podcast yesterday...just fantastic.

You and Swoop do a great job, keep it up!

Thanks again....

And, stay tuned... coming up in the next couple weeks... another great interview with Shermer and... the widow of Carl Sagan! :)

I am just amazed sometimes by the level of people that we keep getting for our little show!
