I'm Home! 6:31pm Sunday

The room is still swaying, I never got sick on the trip but Stirling and Mike did. They don't feel anything swaying, maybe I adjusted quicker. It looks like I only gained 2-3 pounds, Mike gained about 10. That's a lot of ice cream. Stirling thinks he gained only 1 pound.

I called home when the plane was landing and Caspian said he was at Doctor's On Duty with my mom. Turns out she tripped on Friday and hit her ear, she had to get stitches. Today they were just getting the stitches looked at. She was washing dishes when we walked in and wondered how I found out.

Pigasus enjoyed the ride, we kept him away from the booze, he mainly looked out the window.

I finally got a hold of a current newspaper today and I have 14 newspapers to review today.

Tomorrow morning I hope to start on editing the trip's pictures, will put them someplace where everyone can view them.

More later when the room stops swaying.

Photos... God(s) there are photos... I had a wonderful time. I tell you all, Randi is AMAZING.

We're not home yet. In Vancouver in a hotel until tomorrow morning. We just got back from AH's house where we had a great time (and I drank waaaay too much wine) and are now back at the hotel finishing packing for the flight tomorrow. Mr. Ottle is on his way to San Fran for a business trip; I'm on my way home.

What a trip. Pictures to follow!

I got home a little after 10pm CDT. Spent an hour on the phone with my mom and decided to be the first to post photos... which I did in the Roll Call thread.

I'll post links to the photos here and more photos as I develop them (shot most of my good stuff on film).

I also posted the tragic ending to my cruisecrush there as well, but will elaborate if anyone wants me to.

Back in sunny California... and I kinda miss the rain. It was great to see old friends, and meet new ones. Thanks all !

Just got back.....red eyes aren't usually so bad but this time it was a hot, packed plane, I was in the middle seat, and right across the aisle was a BABY. ugh.

Pics to come once I get a Flickr pro account....

I'm uploading pics right now to Flickr...I'm tagging them all with AmazingAdventure2, and I suggest everyone else do that as well so that we can see everything easily! Linksies.

So did you get to see the aurora borealis? Otters? Whales? Pink Elephants? I need details...

I saw a few pink elephants.

Definitely.

No evidence I'm afraid, you'll just have to BELIEVE me.

I saw lots of birds, one squirrel and lots of salmon!

One the other hand, I did take a lot of pictures of flowers.

Alaska has many type of flowers I have never seen in Virginia, Texas or North Carolina.

Pictures should be ready in an hour or so.

Got home this morning, crashed, and just picked up my (rather peeved) rabbits from the kennel.

I had a fantastic time. Some special thanks need to go out:

To the entire Wagg family:
Thanks for putting this together, for the second time.

To Randi, Jeff, Hal, Richard, Rebecca, and Phil:
Thank you for coming, and being fascinating speakers. (Yes, even Hal.)

To kittynh:
Thank you for being such a wonderful friend, and for the extremely adorable birthday present.

To everyone on the cruise:
Thank you for the warm birthday wishes--I was coming into my 30th in a bit of a funk, and I really appreciate all the love.

To AntiqueHunter:
Thank you for the wonderful pre-cruise party, and thank you for organizing our poker tourneys.

To Mario:
Thank you for wearing your kilt. You know what I mean. ;)

To Elaine:
Thank you for keeping Hal's jokes in check.

To Mark:
Thank you for being the life of the karaoke.

To DayLate:
Thank you for not sharing the karaoke videos. If you know what's good for you. :D

To Eileen:
Thank you for coming, and providing some fascinating dinner conversation.

To Rebecca:
Thank you for dancing with me, despite the fact that I can't dance.
Thank you for tolerating my occasional need for Becca-hugs.
Thank you for being teh Becca.

To Hutch:
Thank you for being a good friend and a great roomie, three times running.

To all my peepz from the chat room--Hal, Jeff, hcmom, Spectre, Rebecca, AntiqueHunter, IllegalArgument, Fitter, Loon, Scotth, and everyone else (y'all know who you are and I'm really tired):
Thank you for not being friends, but family.

That's all the sappiness I can dish out for now--I'm going to crash for a couple hours before excavating my camera and posting some pics.
