Hillary Herds Reporters With Rope

Hillary's aides led reporters along a 4th of July parade route using ropes to keep them in a tight area. They held ropes around the group of reporters and herded them along with the parade.

Photos explain this better than I can.

I don't know what disgusts me more - Hillary, or the reporters who allowed this to be done to them. What a sight on the Fourth Of July - our free press being led along with ropes.

Sorry, I can't sympathize. It was a parade, parades move. And for some bizarre reason the paparazzi at this event seemed to feel an urge to stand squarely in the parade route while the parade was ongoing, making it necessary for someone to intervene keep them out of the way of the parade participants.

They should have been given the option to hold hands and use the Buddy System, at least.

These are the same reporters that chased her around like paparazzi and you're complaining that crowds were maintained behind ropes?

Those are terrible "optics" on two fronts: the press acting like fawning paparazzi (is your self respect worth so little you'll allow yourself to literally be led around by a rope?), and a visual display of Hillary insulating herself from reporters and the masses (except the privileged few that were allowed inside the inner "lasso").

Was the rope keeping them in or out? Bad article, I can't figure out what was actually happening.

We haven't even elected her yet and she's already coming up with creative solutions for irritating problems.

You go girl.

...and the GOP said, "Cool! We can literally herd reporters around like cattle now!" And that kids, is how I became a press-wrangler. Now let's go outside, your grandma is making lemonade, and I can show you some tricks I can do with my old lasso...

Here is an actual picture:

It's like they just sit around trying to think up outlandish things to pull, just to see what'll happen.

"I know, let's see if we can get some people in the press that are so enamored with you, that you could have us lead them around on a leash, like some kind of incontinent dog and pony show, during an Independence day parade, no less. Think any will go for it?"

Shortly after the parade.

"They went for it? Wow. Okay, let's see if we can get at least one of them to eat an actual plate full of your own personal steaming ****, Hil. I'll place ten to one odds there's someone in the press who will, who's in?"

LOL
If true I'd vote for her

Really - around?

Could it be it was just a rope line held behind Hillary to make some space, and the reporters were pushing up against it?

Obviously, did you see the pictures?

Nothing scares Hillary more than people getting to know the real Hillary. Here press conference at the UN was embarrassing

I did look at the pictures, but they all showed a single line between people, except for one that seemed to wrap around a single female that I wasn't sure about.

Which picture do you see that shows the rope around the reporters, rather than a line of rope?

That's what I am seeing too. In the second photo, it looks like the rope line surrounds the press, but it does not. The part of the rope line that appears to be behind the press are just the sidewalk lines painted on the pavement.

It's a cute spin some in the media did on this: using words like corralled, and like in a veal pen, and dragging the press along.

But actually, it looks like it was Hillary that was surrounded with the rope. One line across the front of her path (so if the press just stood there they'd contact the rope), and maybe one in the back but I'm not sure about that one.

But most of the press are mostly focusing on the rope line being symbolic of Hillary distancing herself from the press. Not so symbolic in this case!

But otherwise ' corralling the press' is a silly narrative.

Meh. No ethnic minorities, members of the LGBTQ community or any other victim-class was harmed in the making of this publicity stunt. Now, move along, little doggies.
