I'm making this a separate topic so that the other one can remain as a venue for people to communicate to and with Shanek their thoughts and feelings.

After reading that blog, something became very obvious to me.
Shane is going to be disabled for a while. That means not being able to work. And his kids received serious injuries as well. That means huge medical bills. And anyone who has any experience at all with this type of thing can tell you that insurance does only so much to help financially.
I happen to know from personal experience that Shane is a very charitable person. I might have fought with him a lot over in Politics, but I have always admired his community spirit and his acts of charity. Shane doesn't brag on it, but he's a man who definitely puts his money and his deeds where his mouth is.
A guy like that deserves some turnabout. If you agree, you can help Shane. He has a Paypal account. The address is shane at shanekillian dot org. I spelled it out so some spider program, or whatever the heck those things are, doesn't pick up the address and spam it. I don't know, just something I heard.
Anyway. There it is. I know most of us are pretty tapped out after the holidays, but as soon as I figure out the directions on how to send money to a Paypal account, I'm going to do what I can.
