What has happened to this country? Has it come to this in this once great nation? You can’t even travel across America anymore in an orange prison jumpsuit without being harassed by The Man!

This truth trek happened last summer and the two clowns did managed to get arrested in Indiana.

WEST TERRE HAUTE — Two men walking across the nation to protest the Iraq war say police officers in West Terre Haute violated their constitutional rights last week when one of the men was arrested for failing to produce identification.

They belong to Beit Shalom Ministries, an outreach of the Protestant Free Church Movement, according to their Web site, www.beitshalomministries.org, which is sponsoring the walk.

Carrying signs and often wearing bright orange, prison-type jumpsuits, Nesch and Schwab rarely fail to be noticed as they walk — separately, about five miles apart — along the nation’s roads.

Its funny because you can clearly see him turn and take an aggressive stance towards the officer before he was tased.
It appeared as if he lunged at the officer.
His day became much worse after doing that and I doubt he will ever do that again.
 
I have not watched Truth Rising (nor do I plan on it), but these clips are from that?

So this movie includes a clip in which two guys, one of which is dressed in an orange jumpsuit, hang out on a busy street corner for over an hour without anybody bothering them at all? Then when a police officer does show up, he chuckles and says, "good luck"?

This definately says something about the "police state" Americans supposedly live in... although I don't think it's the message that Jones intended.
 
they complained about being asked for id? if i remember correctly, pedestrian traffic is generally not allowed on highways (i have seen signs here in MA about no bicycle traffic or foot traffic on the interstate). i'm not sure if this applies elsewhere but would explain the actions of the officers in the beginning. i love how in all these videos they always make references to nazi germany and the ussr and then wonder why the police don't treat them nicely. if you aren't a dick to a cop and just produce some id and turn off the camera, they won't be dicks back. i remember one scene in an alex jones film where they were driving through a roadblock in texas yelling about how the police are acting like the waffen ss and wonder why no officer would talk to them about what is going on.

Every police officer in that video was very courteous and very professional despite the efforts to antagonize them. Way to stick it to the man, dorks.
 
Why, why, why cant the "truth movement" figure out sending the most drug addled members they have out "to the wolves" only makes us laugh harder? The one guy I can hear in the video has so much resin floating around his brain he can barely form complete sentences. I remain firm in my belief that the "truth movement" is it's own worst enemy.

I got as far as the "help, help I'm being repressed" part and decided I better watch this after work so my co-workers aren't being distracted by my fits of laughter. :p
 
Don't I.D. Me, Bro (Video Update)

The truther in the video is from Beit Shalom Ministries which is a Jewish Messianic sect (i.e., Jews for Jesus). They have apparently fallen on hard times as the website with their original videos is gone and it's hard to find much information about them on the web.

I did find a podcast from Visibility 9-11 dated July 21, 2007, that has the unedited audio of one of the videotaped police encounters (beginning about 16:50 in). It's obvious that the officer was mostly concerned with the truther's safety. He was walking down the shoulder of a two-lane rural highway.
