HAMAS has launched a campaign warning Palestinians in the Gaza Strip against collaborating with Israel, following the execution of two alleged informants in April.
Posters and murals have appeared throughout Gaza City, graphically depicting the consequences of providing information to Israeli intelligence. Some include images of nooses, others warn that ''your people's blood will be on your hands''.

I have seen some people try to deny the state of war between the government of Gaza and Israel. Execution of "collaborators" is a sure sign that Hamas believes a war is happening. Any blockade that Israel institutes is certainly justified.

It's a war. The blockader decides what goes in, and a heap of food does go in.
apologia...

Is there any Israeli extreme you would not be prepared to salute? Anything they could do that you would be critical of?

for example....would you allow israel to starve gaza? I'm assuming so as you say "Any blockade that Israel institutes is certainly justified"
would you allow Israel to restrict food to the point that it affected the health of the civilian population? sure I think it likely that you would support gazans suffering health problems.

what about increased infant mortality....sure, you would support that. What about people dying for lack of medical equipment? Sure....why not...

you give away unqualified support so easily. I think this is how extremist governments survive.

Thunder,

In WW1, britain imposed a blockade in Germany.

Was that illegal?
you really thing a world war in the early part of the last century is a good comparison to what is happening in gaza today?

The romans blockaded the Jews at masada....good comparison?

The laws affecting war between sovereign nations nearly one hundred years ago as compared to the modern laws dealing with a state and the stateless people on its borders.....Hmmmmmm.

I'll ignore the strawman arguments.

Anything to say about Hamas executing so-called informers? Or are they a legitimate casuality of war?

any blockade.....

ok, complete blockade....no food at all....starvation.

would you support that? if not then you are not telling the truth if you state "any blockade that israel institutes is certainly justified"

can I suggest you really mean that you would support anything israel wants to do up to a point, but you cannot say what that point is in case israel exceded it which would run the risk of you possibly having to disagree with them... Is that a better description?

as to executing informers...I don't agree with it as I am very much against capital punishment.

War's a nasty business. It would be great if Hamas decided not to wage one.

oh and that excuses blockade of goods for the civilian population?
nasty....

how come we don't excuse Hamas's actions with "War's a nasty business" ?

How about Hamas rescinding their objective of destroying of Israel and seeking a peaceful outcome? Rather waging a stupid war that inflicts sufferring on the population of Gaza.

Can you cite the law that changed that? If not, what's different?

Hamas rules an undeclared an unrecognized state. Barring international relations, they have the exact same powers as they would in an independent and sovereign state. There is no special law for such cases and no reason not to be able to apply the laws that govern international conflict as it is.

That's right. At least we have agreed that Hamas's execution of "collaborators" is an acknowledgement of a state of war. Let's hope they come to their senses and sue for peace.

well i never doubted their state of war. I do however doubt they have any senses they can come to.

Because then you'd have to blame the peaceful peaceniks who wish to make peaceful peace by peacefully killing every Jew in Israel.

Why do you hate peace lionkng?

Yeah sorry. Mea culpa.

BTW, when am I going to be paid for my irrational and relentless support of Israel? Surely you're on the payroll Wildcat?
