Have any of you Euro-types seen the series mentioned in this article? What do you think?

Far more importantly, what is DOC gonna do when he finds out god was home doing the horizontal mambo while all the disciples were sweating it out in the mission fields? :)
 
Dude, everybody knows Lilith was gods wife, he created her for Adam but took her for himself, but then one eon she turned into a lesbian and founded a music fair and God has been pissed since.

It is a continuing story of Israelites falling bacl to worshipping the old deities of the land: the male Baals and female Asherahs. And yes, they even put items for Baal and Ashera in the YHW temple in Jerusalem.

5 In both courts of the temple of the LORD, he built altars to all the starry hosts.

Nothing too secret there. Idol worship was a problem for the monotheists for centuries.


The article says "a three-part documentary series, now airing in Europe"
This makes it sounds as if there was a unified European TV. There is not. We speak all kinds of languages, and most TC channels cater to one country only. If that series were to be shown in Germany, we'd have to wait till someone payed the money to have it dubbed, because they don't air original language docus here.
Maybe they are saying it airs on some British channel that can be received, via satellite dish, in other countries as well. Doesn't mean many people watch that stuff outside of Britain then.
 
The Asherah pole or tree probably refers to Asherah pillar figurines (and larger wooden statues of her). These represented her, above the waist, as a woman holding her breasts. below the waist the figure turns into a pillar with a flaring base. this is generally seen as representing a tree trunk.
 
I have spoken with Mormons who firmly believe in Asherah, Goddess of Heaven, as the wife of God and Heavenly Mother of the human race.

I'm from Merthyr Tydfil,home of one of the biggest Mormon Churches in Britain. I always found them amusing. I saw Donny Osmond there once.

Would his wife have to do any housework? One wave of his hand and the dishes,washing and ironing would be done. According to believers god is omnipresent,so where did they go for their honeymoon?
