But doesn't lightning actually travel from the earth upward?
The son is signalling the father...looks east

Well, if God liked Jesus, I'd call that bit of performance art at the end a very odd piece of social interaction.

It's a miracle it wasn't completely destroyed. Praise gawd for intervening and protecting it.

Hey, God did use Jesus as a blood sacrifice just to enable God to change a rule he made himself.

The story would have been better if the lightning hit the middle finger. I wonder how the xians would have reacted to that. :jaw-dropp

God hates Jesus
Not so fast.
Ephesians: 29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
However, since God is arguably not man, you could argue that God could hate his own self if He wanted to ... and with Jesus being part of the Triune model, a bit of self loathing might be argued with success. But then, since Jesus is God is Jesus, and Jesus is doctrinally fully divine and fully human, you could get to God being himself, and thus not hating himself since himself is, or was for a while, fully human. One can get dizzy with this in a hurry.

Another way to take this would be that a message is being sent regarding graven images. ;) Keep an eye out for the message being sent to the Virgin of Guadalupe next ...

"Buddy Christ" is just crying out to be photoshopped.

I already used him in one project:

Is he really worth another go?

(not actually one of my better efforts, BTW... although reducing the dove photo to a black silhouette was fun... err... I think it was a dove... don't remember for sure; might've been a swallow)

Maybe placed in some action with a certain Michaelangelo fresco, it could actually work.... hmmm....
